Hello hockey fans and welcome to another day of NHL action here at DFSR. We have a tiny three-game slate in store for us this evening, but it shall not be short of excitement as always, so let's get started with some picks.
Hockey is back and with it come our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. When you purchase a DFSR NHL subscription to our base hockey projections you also get access to our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 15.35 DK - 3.84
Let's start things off with the veteran tender who has won three of his last four games while allowing eight goals during that span. Fleury has had a terrific season so far as he comes into this one with a 19-7-2 record to go along with a stifling .932 save %, two shutouts, and a 2.07 GAA. The Flames own the 21st ranked offense while the Golden Knights are ranked second defensively and these teams have already met once this season in Calgary with Fleury allowing only two goals in a 4-2 Vegas victory. All things considered, Fleury is a solid play and my top goalie in all formats.
Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 12.48 DK - 3.55
It is a tiny slate, so our options are thin this evening, but this guy is no slouch by any means as he centers the #2 line and the #1 powerplay unit for the Golden Knights and their 2nd ranked offense. In his last three games, the veteran has a goal, an assist, and 12 shots, so he has a decent amount of safety an upside that we are looking for in all formats against the Flames and their 15th ranked defense.
Stack with: David Perron, James Neal
Opponent - CHI
Proj Pts FD - 11.85 DK - 3.42
This guy has been one of the few bright spots for the Sens lately as he has four goals and two assists in his last five games to go along with 15 shots in his last three. He centers the top line and the #1 powerplay unit and although the Senators are weak offensively, they've shown some life lately and they could score a few goals against the Hawks who are 1-8-1 and have allowed 32 goals in their last 10 games. Brassard is a solid play in all formats for this tiny slate.
Stack with: Mark Stone, Zach Smith
Opponent - OTT
Proj Pts FD - 12.25 DK - 3.65
It's been a very long time since "Kaner" put up a goose egg on Draftkings and Fanduel, but it finally happened last time out against a tough Kings team. Well, superstars carry chips on their shoulders and this could be bad news for the Senators and their 30th ranked defense and these teams met earlier this season in Ottawa, where the Hawks annihilated the Senators by a score of 8-2, with this guy recording a goal and four assists. The superstar winger has 55 points in 60 games and he has averaged 3.57 shots per game which gives him an elite floor. This game should be a high scoring affair, so lock and load Kane in all formats.
Stack with: Nick Smaltz, Artem Anisimov
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 11.53 DK - 3.38
I want some kind of exposure to the Ducks against the Stars who have allowed 12 goals in their last three games and this guy looks like the best option from a PTS/$ perspective. The veteran has a powerplay goal, nine shots, and four blocks in his last three games and while his 2.42 shot per game average isn't the safest for cash games, he plays on the #1 line and the #1 powerplay unit for the Ducks, so fire up Perry in GPP formats.
Stack with: Ryan Getzlaf, Rickard Rakell
Also Consider: Reilly Smith(VEG), Brandon Saad(CHI)
DEFENSEMEN
Opponent - CHI
Proj Pts FD - 12.2 DK - 3.76
I don't like to spend up at this spot except on tiny slates with very few options and Karlsson has been playing well lately as he has five assists, 13 shots, and nine blocks in his last four games. The veteran superstar has averaged a whopping 26 minutes of ice-time this season and he has an impressive 41 points in 53 games, so I think it is a great idea to find value elsewhere and fire Karlsson up in all formats this evening.
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 7.76 DK - 2.33
This is more of an ice-time equals opportunity pick here as Montour has been playing on the #1 defensive pairing and the #1 powerplay unit in the last three games while recording eight shots and seven blocks, and logging 23 minutes of ice-time. At these dirt cheap prices, we could do worse than Montour in all formats.
Also Consider: Duncan Keith(CHI), Stephen Johns(DAL)
