GOALIE

Connor Hellebuyck FD - $8400 DK - $8500
Opponent - ARI
Proj Pts FD - 16.25 DK - 4.85

You have heard this story from us many times this season so I will keep it brief. The Jets sit tied with Vegas for best home record in the NHL this season and it can be directly correltated to their goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. He has been good all year but elite on home ice with 18 wins, an elite .933 save % and already has four shutouts. Tonight the Jets one of the top matchups on the slate as huge -230 favorites to the visiting Coyotes who have scored just two goals in their last three games and rank 30th overall in offense. Fire up Hellebuyck in all formats.

Carter Hutton FD - $9100 DK - $8000
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 15.31 DK - 3.83

Hutton has been thriving as the Blues #1 goalie and comes in red hot with wins in six straight starts allowing just four goals against with two shutouts. That has pushed his overall record to 14-4-1 on the season to go along with an elite .947 save % and 1.61 GAA. He will most likely be back between the pipes tonight in a plus matchup vs. a Wild team that has been terrible away from Minnesota this season(10-15-1) and goes from a Top 10 offense at home to a 24th ranked offense on the road. Hellebuyck is the play on FanDuel but Hutton should get some strong consideration of DraftKings at a $500 discount tonight.

Also Consider: Marc-Andre Fleury(VGK) in GPP formats as he returns to Pittsburgh for the first time.

CENTERS

Blake Wheeler FD - $7100 DK - $7400
Opponent - ARI
Proj Pts FD - 15.25 DK - 4.25

Wheels went into the break on a bit of a cold streak with just two points in his final six games but his sixth straight appearance at the All-Star game gave him some spark. He has two multi-point games and four total points in three games since and continues to carry the Jets offense on his back with 58 points in 53 games this season. He has also been much better on home ice this season with 37 points in just 24 games. Tonight he gets an elite matchup vs. the Coyotes 30th ranked defense making him an elite play in all formats.

Stack with: Patrik Laine, Jack Roslovic

Aleksander Barkov FD - $7000 DK - $6900
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 13.67 DK - 3.85

The Panthers offense has been below average overall but that hasn't stopped Barkov and Trocheck from being excellent PTS/$ values at the center position. I mainly play DraftKings and will be relying on Barkov as his price has dipped below Trocheck's once again and he has also been heating up with points in two straight and three of his last four games. He has also been better on home ice this season averaging over a point per game and has also provided a safe floor averaging 3.4 shots per game. He is a top cash game center for me tonight and I will also be pairing him with Trocheck and the Panthers top powerplay unit in a high-upside stack.

Stack with: Evgenii Dadonov, Vincent Trocheck(PP), Jonathan Huberdeau(PP)

Erik Haula FD - $6400 DK - $6100
Opponent - PIT
Proj Pts FD - 11.62 DK - 3.42

Haula doesn't come with near as much safety as the two options above but he will be lower owned and does provide some upside for GPP formats. He centers the second line and powerplay unit in Vegas and has been on a hot streak lately with 11 points(six on the powerplay) over his last 10 games and now has 39 on the season. The Penguins have tightened up a bit on defense lately but still rank 21st overall making this a nice spot for Haula and the Golden Knights.

Stack with: David Perron, James Neal

WINGERS

Taylor Hall FD - $8100 DK - $7400
Opponent - OTT
Proj Pts FD - 17.47 DK - 5.05

Nothing, or no one for that matter, seems to be able to stop Taylor Hall in the month of January. He has carried the offense in New Jersey all season and comes into tonight with a 10-game point streak on the line that includes four multi-point efforts and he has also provided a sky-high floor recording 46 shots on goal during that time. Believe it or not, he has also been better away from Jersey with 28 of those points in 23 road games and gets an elite matchup tonight vs. the Sens 29th ranked defense. His price has snuck up into the top tier but that shouldn't deter you from using him in all formats tonight.

Stack with: Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt

Vladimir Tarasenko FD - $8000 DK - $7000
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 14.35 DK - 4.23

The Blues superstar winger has been ice cold lately with just one point in his last four games but on a big slate that should leave him much lower owned making him an excellent GPP pivot. What I like most is that he provides a steady floor as he sits tied for third in the league with an average of four shots on goal per game and the upside is there as he has 21 goals and 47 points on the season including 13 multi-point efforts. If you read my articles on the regular you have heard me talk about targeting the Wild on the road. Over their last 10 games away from Minnesota, they have given up 40 goals and rank 30th overall in road defense making this is a prime spot for a breakout game from Tarasenko and company.

Stack with: Brayden Schenn, Jaden Schwartz

Travis Konecny FD - $5200 DK - $5500
Opponent - CAR
Proj Pts FD - 10.47 DK - 3.04

Overall, the Flyers sit middle of the pack when it comes to goal scoring but on the road, they are a Top 10 offense so targeting a few of them is not a bad idea tonight. I already mentioned a few high tier guys on the wing and at the center position so I will dig a little deeper and suggest a value play in Travis Konecny. He is thriving in his role on the top line and comes in with points in eight of his last 10 games(11 points overall) and now gets a matchup vs. a Hurricanes team that has given up seven goals in their last two and rank 22nd in defense on the season. Feel free to roll out Konecny in all formats tonight.

Stack with: Sean Couturier, Claude Giroux

DEFENSEMEN

Seth Jones FD - $5900 DK - $6000
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 13.33 DK - 3.85

If you are in the paying up at defense mood tonight, there has been no one more solid across the board than Seth Jones lately. He was held without a point game but has still contributed with five shots and two blocks and has nine points in his last 10 games with 36 shots and 20 blocks for an average of 4.7 DraftKings/16.9 FanDuel points per game. The Capitals, much like the Wild, have seen huge split differences as they rank 6th in defense on home ice but slip all the way down to 29th on the road. Fire up Jones in all formats.

Brandon Montour FD - $3700 DK - $3700
Opponent - BUF
Proj Pts FD - 9.56 DK - 2.88

With a price in the sub $4K range on both sites, Brandon Montour is my value play of the night at the defense position. He hasn't provided a ton of upside but is having a solid first full season with the Ducks with 21 points in 51 games. He is getting under 20 minutes of ice-time per game on the third unit but has been getting some nice run on the second powerplay unit and eventually that should pay off. Despite not recording a point last night, he hit value at punt prices with two shots and five blocks and now has nine blocks and 10 shots in his last four games. Most of all, he provides us with salary relief to help fit in some of the top plays at other positions.

Also Consider: Joel Edmundson(STL)
