What We Know

John Wall is out for the Wizards.
Wall is dealing with a sore knee and will miss the Wizards game against the Hawks in Atlanta. Tomas Satoransky will draw the start in Wall's place, but the real draw is in Bradley Beal and Otto Porter, who we spotlighted in the picks article and now become even more appealing as they see a 4.4% and 3.4% bump in usage respectively with Wall off the court.

Marcus Smart is out for two weeks after cutting his hand.
This was anything but smart, as the Celtics guard suffered a severe cut swiping at a picture frame in a hotel shattering the glass. Terry Rozier stands to be the main beneficiary while Jaylen Brown stands to see some extended run as well during Smart's absence.

Tyler Johnson expects to play after missing five games already with an ankle sprain.
Johnson appears to be on track to make his return after missing five games with an ankle sprain. Wayne Ellington, Josh Richardson, and Justise Winslow have all seen added fantasy appeal in Johnson's absence, and would likely take a hit in value upon his return, especially Ellington, though it remains to be seen if Johnson will see any type of minutes restriction.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson left last night's game in Milwaukee with a right groin strain.
Jefferson suffered the injury after playing just 12 minutes of the Nets game against the Bucks and was unable to return. The Nets have ruled him out for tonight, with DeMarre Carroll who sees a 1.8% usage bump with RHJ off the court, and to a lesser extent Qunicy Acy standing to benefit in his absence. D'Angelo Russell will also be held out on the tail end of a back to back.

What We're Waiting to Know

Jimmy Butler is a game-time decision for the Wolves.
Jimmy Buckets came into the Timberwolves Wednesday and Thursday contests designated as questionable before ultimately being ruled out, and is currently considered a game time call for tonight's game against Brooklyn. As we covered in the picks article, Nemanja Bjelica will lose all fantasy appeal once Butler returns to action, but if Butler is ruled out for a fifth straight game tonight Bjelica will be a phenomenal play against a terrible Nets front court.

Kevin Durant is probable tonight against Boston.
The Warriors have placed the star forward on the injury report, likely as a precaution, but we will keep a close eye on this one as a lot of value opens up if it turns out he is unable to go. Steph Curry becomes an even greater play with a 7% usage bump with KD unavailable, while Omri Casspi and Andre Iguodala each see about a 1% bump.

Myles Turner is questionable for the Pacers game against Orlando.
Turner did not play last night despite being a full participant in Thursday's practice. He may feel better after the rest day on Friday, and more word on his status should come closer to game time.

Otto Porter FD - $6700 DK - $6300

Proj Pts FD - 33.92 DK - 33.34
Our every lineup plays for tonight's slate are teammates who stand to benefit from the lead news story above. Bradley Beal and Otto Porter were top plays in the initial run of our projection system last night, and became all that much more enticing following the word this morning that John Wall will sit out tonight's game in Atlanta due to soreness in his knee. While Tomas Satoransky will step into the starting point guard role in Wall's absence, Bradley Beal will take control of the Washington offense and lead the Wiz against the struggling Hawks. The Wizards are 5.5 point favorites in a game with an exciting 213 point projection coming from our friends in Vegas. Per NBAWowy Beal sees a 4.4% bump in usage with Wall off the court while Porter is not far off with a 3.4% spike. Beal is coming off of a game in Oklahoma City where he was shooting straight fire and scored 41 real points to pair with 12 rebounds, while Porter has averaged 32 minutes per game over his last three contests including a 6.1X PPD outing against Detroit last weekend. Atlanta has the 25th ranked defense in the NBA and more specifically are average on paper against the two while being sixth worst against the three. Both Beal and Porter are in a tremendous spot tonight and warrant consideration in all formats while Wall is out of commission.
