What We Know

John Wall is out for up to 2 weeks

Wall is obviously a huge piece of this offense, and we fortunately know what will happen for the most part. Tim Frazier will draw the start, grab around 30 minutes and likely hit value. He is a very safe play in all formats that should be popular. Brad Beal and Otto Porter will also grab a few extra shots and remain in play against the T-Wolves. This is the game that most fantasy ownership is coming from.

Wilson Chandler is out with a back injury

Wilson Chandler has been pretty meh this season, so we certainly had no intentions of playing him against the Jazz. With him out, you can pencil in 10-15 extra minutes for Hernangomez and 5-8 for Barton and Jefferson. Hernangomez is interesting, but this match-up doesn't do it for me. I'd rather play him in a fast-paced game.

What We're Waiting to Know

Jeff Teague is expecting to play, but officially questionable

If Teague misses, Tyus Jones is pretty close to a must play. He has the full reigns of the offense when on the floor and hasn't been afraid to shoot with the other stars around. He's obviously a very good point guard that can be relied on when given the minutes. Especially around $5k against a Wizards team that likes to run. Assuming Teague plays, I think he's interesting in tournaments. I think Jones takes some minutes either way, so I'll be staying away personally and moving to a Jimmy Butler or Towns.

Khris Middleton missed shootaround and is questionable to play

This only helps Giannis, who was already in a prime situation against the Kings. Middleton is the 2nd fiddle on this offense, but he plays a lot and shoots as much as a lot of #1's. In his absence, Giannis will see 3 or 4% usage spike while also picking up 3 or 5 shots. For a guy that already had a 50 FP floor, it's pretty nice. If Middleton does miss, it will be Malcolm Brogdon who I gravitate towards. Tony Snell will also pick some minutes up, but we all know how much that matters.

Every Lineup Guys

Nobody. Yet. If Teague gets ruled out, Tyus Jones is hard to stay away from. If Khris Middleton is ruled out, Giannis is impossible to stay away from. Until then, there's a whole bunch of interesting options that should be considered. You have Frazier, Jones, and Gibson as my 3 favorite value plays and I don't think I'm comfortable taking a stand on just 1. On the high-end, there's an argument to be made for literally every single one. While we have just 5 games on the slate, the amount of ways you can go in tournaments is insane. Aside from 4 or 5 guys, we will see diverse ownership and a lot of unique lineups builds (unless Teague ruled out). Personally, this is one of my favorite slates of the year.
