What We Know

Rudy Gobert, D'Angelo Russell, Patrick Beverley, Mike Conley, Danilo Gallinari will remain out

These guys are recently injured and we already know the fantasy implications. Let's jump into some other news.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out with a knee injury

This is obviously HUGE. In broad terms for the slate, it's going to make LeBron James VERY popular. It's also going to heighten the ownership on every other expensive option. He was one of the best plays on this slate and his absence is monstrous. For the Suns, it'll be a bunch of guys that benefit. With John Henson also out, the rotations are going to be rather tight. They still have some young options n the bench, but they're terrible players and they will need firepower with Giannis out. Eric Bledsoe, Khris Middleton, and Malcolm Brogdon are elite plays in all formats. Their minutes and production will be way up in a pace-up game against the Suns. This situation is one you will need exposure to. Devin Booker also gets a bump as he won't have to deal with Giannis defense if he gets hot (Middleton still a good defender).

John Henson is also out for the Bucks

We touched on mostly everyone there that you can play, but Thon Maker might get forced into 25-30 minutes as well. In a fast-paced match-up, the upside is certainly there. Joel Bolomboy and D.J. Wilson may also grab some minutes, but I highly doubt either makes a splash. If you could guarantee me 25+ minutes out of Wilson, he would be great. Henson has been a big part of this team, so don't dismiss this news because of bigger headlines.

Paul Millsap is out indefinitely

Minutes-wise, I think this is a wait and see approach with a ton of variance. In Millsap's absence, Faried, Hernangomez, Barton, and Lyles will all have opportunity. They will have a couple big games, but you'll never know when and the other 90% of the time will be 15 minutes off the bench. The only real guy you can trust in the Nuggets frontcourt is Nikola Jokic. His usage, minutes, and production will all rise with Millsap out. He's a guy I love tonight against the Rockets and will continue playing with Millsap out.

What We're Waiting to Know

Josh Richardson is questionable against the Pacers

There hasn't been an update on Richardson, so we wait. If he plays, he's kind of interesting against a Celtics team that should keep it close. There are much better options. If Richardson is out, Winslow, Ellington, and Waiters would all benefit. They would all pick up some generous shots and minutes, but not even close to musts against the Celtics.

Buddy Hield is probable to return for the Kings

Hield has missed the last couple games and it let the PG combo of Fox and Hill get loose. Garrett Temple also saw his minutes get closer to 30. He'll be back to the 18 he typically sees and Fox+Hill is an unknown. You never really know how the minute distribution will go, but they'll see 7 or 8 less as a combo than the last couple game. I still love Fox in tournaments. If he gets the minutes, value will get hit by the 3rd quarter.

Tyson Chandler will likely return against the Bucks

Against a Bucks team that will be playing small, I don't really care. It takes most intrigue away from Chriss and Len, who were already far from my list against a Bucks team that plays at the 28th PACE. They're now missing the guy who likes to push the ball.

Every Lineup Guys

Eric Bledsoe FD - $6400 DK - $6500
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 36.54 DK - 37.42

Nobody is a must play in NBA DFS, but this is my favorite play of the year so far. I guess I'm putting myself on a target with that, but I just don't see a way this goes wrong. For one, he's priced down. This is an $8k-$9k player. Second, Giannis is out. That's about 20 shots and 25 minutes of ball handling up for grabs. Oh ya, he's also facing the team he had crazy beef with just a couple weeks ago. If there's a such thing as a perfect recipe, this is it. You won't find a lineup of mine without Eric Bledsoe. You can toss Khris Middleton in that category for me as well. Go Bucks and good luck tonight!!!

  • Great pick - Eric Bledsoe in a revenge game is a must and pretty much a guarantee - looks like you are learning something from us - keep listening.

  • We're gunna hold it to ya too, Bubba. If Bledsoe doesn't hit value, we're all gunna shit on you for weeks.

  • For the most part you guys are great with this shit. Austin - you crush it dude and I would prefer you did all of the write ups. I read the article before looking who did it and know it was you by the end. Thanks for the help!

  • ... And Bledsoe is gonna be shaky in Phoenix against his old team and go 4-17 from the field. Just sayin...
