It's been a tough start to the season for the Penguins who rank outside the Top 20 in offense and defense and the same can be said for Murray who has been very inconsistent. The good news tonight is the Penguins are the biggest favorites (-225) on the slate and have been much better at home with a 6-1-1 record. Murray has been in between the pipes for each one of those home games and has added an impressive .935 save %. Tonight he faces a Canucks team that is playing the second of back to back games on the road and rank 26th overall in offense. All things considered, Murray is my top goalie in all formats.

The Sharks aren't quite as big of favorites(-145) as the Pens tonight but Jones has definitely had the better start to the season going 8-5-1 with a .926 save %. He has been a major factor in the Sharks first overall rank in defense as they have allowed just 2.26 goals per game and tonight get a premium matchup vs. the Coyotes who rank 28th in offense and dead last in defense. The other good news here is that Jones has been stellar on the road with a 3-1 record to go along with an elite .967 save %. It is looking more and more like I will be splitting my exposure between Murray and Jones in all formats. Stay tuned for goalie confirmations.
Also Consider: Pekka Rinne(NSH) in all formats and Jimmy Howard(DET) in GPP's

If you are paying up at the position, you most definitely can't go wrong with Steven Stamkos who leads the league in points but he has a tough matchup vs. the Blackhawks which leaves him and the Bolts as GPP only for me tonight. I prefer to save a bit of salary in cash games and roll with Johnny T tonight. He leads all centers with 15 goals on the season with one in three of his last four games and provides a safe floor as he averages 3.2 shots per game. The Islanders have also been better at home this season(6-0-2) and face a Flyers team that has been a Top 10 defense this season but have struggled on the road(4-5-1) and overall have lost nine of their last 12 games.

The Sharks have struggled offensively this season(ranked 29th) but it hasn't been because of Couture who has been a very consistent fantasy option. He leads the team with 16 points(five on the powerplay) through their first 19 games while centering the second line and he also joins Pavelski, Thornton, and Burns on the top powerplay unit giving him added value. From a PTS/$ perspective, is one of the top plays at the position in an elite matchup vs. the Coyotes who rank dead last in defense allowing 3.7 goals against per game. All things considered, I trust him in all formats tonight.
Stack with: Joe Pavelski(PP), Joe Thornton(PP), Brent Burns(PP)

Despite lacking overall safety with a bit lower shot volume(2.6 shots per game), Larkin has been on a roll lately with points in three straight and eight of his last 10 games for the Red Wings. He now gets a premium matchup vs. a struggling Oilers team that has lost four of their last five games(going into Tuesday night) allowing 20 goals against and will now be playing the second of a back to back on the road. He centers the second line and also on the second powerplay unit which overall, ranks Top 10 in the league while the Oilers take the second-most penalties per game(12.5) and rank 29th in penalty killing. All things considered, I think we can disregard the shot volume and use Larkin in all formats.
Stack with: Tomas Tatar, Justin Abdelkader
Also Consider: Riley Sheahan(PIT), Vincent Trocheck(FLA)
**Nikita Kucherov(TB) and Alex Ovechkin(WSH) both have huge floors with shot volume and also huge upside tonight but present some risk with their matchups and recent play(Ovi) leaving them as GPP only options tonight. Instead, let's look at some of the top PTS/$ plays at the position.**

The surprising thing isn't so much that the Devils are at the top of their division, it's more that they are doing it with their offense as they currently rank seventh scoring 3.25 goals per game. Leading the way for the team has been Taylor Hall who has already tallied 21 points in 20 games after recording just 53 all of last season. Not only does he offer huge upside, he also gives us stability in cash games as he is averaging over 3.5 shots while skating just under 19 minutes per game. He is my top PTS/$ winger to pay up for tonight and is safe in all formats.
Stack with: Nico Hischier, Kyle Palmieri

The defending Stanley Cup Champion Penguins have really struggled offensively and it kinda says it all when Phil Kessel leads the team in points ahead of guys like Malkin and Crosby. With that said, Kessel makes a great DFS play in all formats as he is not only averaging over a point per game but also has shown elite shot volume averaging just shy of four per game so far. He is also likely to see some added ice-time tonight as Evgeni Malkin has already been ruled out tonight with an injury. He will skate with Bryan Rust and Jake Guentzel on the second line and will continue to see top powerplay minutes with Crosby and Hornqvist giving him near elite PTS/$ value, at least on Draftkings, as he faces a Canucks team playing the second of back to back games on the road.
Stack with: Jake Guentzel, Bryan Rust, Sidney Crosby(PP), Patric Hornqvist(PP)

The Kings have taken a turn for the worse lately losing five of their last six games but one player I will continue to roll out in cash games is Tyler Toffoli. His offensive output has been inconsistent this season but he continues to come to us with a mid $5K price tag and a very high floor as he has tallied five or more shots in four of his last seven games for an average of 3.8 per game for the season. Also, if you are looking to go contrarian and looking for some low ownership you can pair him with his linemates for a GPP stack at a low cost.
Stack with: Tanner Pearson, Adrian Kempe
Also Consider: Mike Hoffman(OTT), Oliver Bjorkstrand(CBJ)
DEFENSEMEN

Proj Pts FD - 14.35 DK - 4.66
If you are planning on paying up at the defense position tonight, you can't go wrong with Roman Josi who has been red hot lately. He has recorded multiple points in back to back games and is carrying a four-game point streak into tonight's matchup with the struggling Habs who rank 29th in defense allowing 3.52 goals per game. On top of that, Josi also provides us with an elite floor as he is averaging four shots on goal per game for the season while skating just over 25 minutes and comes at a discount from the other top options. Fire him up in all formats.

From a PTS/$ perspective, there has been no one better than Boychuck lately. He doesn't provide us with a much upside but does have four of his six points in the last 10 games but what he has provided is an elite floor. In that 10 game span, he has 31 blocks and added 26 shots while skating just over 20 minutes per game. He is best used in cash games tonight but if you are trying to fit multiple high-end forwards or an expensive line stack, he can also be considered in GPP's.
Also Consider: Jared Spurgeon(MIN) in all formats and Alec Martinez(LAK) in cash games
