KD tweaked his ankle at some point last night against the Sixers so the Warriors will keep on the side of caution and let him sit out the tail end of the back to back tonight in Brooklyn against the Nets. Look for Andre Iguodala, and Omri Casspi to benefit greatly from the minutes and usage that opens up with a Durantless Warriors team.
Wall was definitely off his game Friday night against the Heat and after the game complained of fluid on the knee as the reason for the subpar performance. The Wizards will hold him out today as a precaution. Tim Frazier should draw the start in his place with Bradley Beal seeing a nice bump in usage as he leads the Washington offense.
Russell has been day-to-day with a knee injury but underwent arthroscopic surgery on the knee and will now be out with no specific timetable for return. Spencer Dinwiddie will continue to start in Russell's place, and is still priced at a point where he is in consideration though there is real blowout concern in tonight's game against the Warriors.
Ibaka missed Friday night's game with the Knicks due to knee inflammation, but has apparently made some improvements in the time off, and has been cleared to start today against the Wizards. Powell meanwhile will miss his fourth straight with a hip injury. OG Anunoby and CJ Miles will continue to see extended run in Powell's absence.
Chandler has been dealing with an illness that kept him out of commission on Thursday and Friday, and he currently sits as a GTD today as the Suns host the Bulls. Phoenix is already without Alan Williams at center, but the addition of Greg Monroe paid dividends in Thursday's loss to Houston.

As we noted above Kevin Durant will miss his second game of the season after injuring his ankle during the 32 minutes he was on the court in Philly last night, and this opens up a ton of opportunity. The only other time KD was inactive this season, Omri Casspi drew the start against Minnesota on November 8th and paid 10X PPD in just 19 minutes with the Golden State first unit. He posted 13 points, three rebounds an assist and mixed in three blocks and two steals on the defensive front to end the night with 32.1 fantasy points. If Casspi is announced as the starter again with Durant out he's a must have against the Nets in what will be a breakneck paced high scoring affair, though even off the bench he should see enough usage to be a solid play as he absorbs some of KD's usage. Casspi is in play in all formats.

Next up we have the Joker. If you read the picks article, you know James was all over this game from both sides and with good reason. They both play terrible defense, and the game has all the point total upside of the Golden State game with none of the blowout risk. Just as James did with the picks, you can attack this game from either side at center, as both Brook Lopez and Nikola Jokic are both solid plays depending on how the rest of your lineup shakes out, but with the removal of Kevin Durant from consideration, the optimizer is taking full advantage of the additional salary, locking Jokic into the top 25 optimal lineups in a game that the Lakers will speed up making the slower paced Nuggets more desirable than they may be in other matchups. I might look to BroLo for a pivot in tournaments, but for cash games, Jokic is a solid option.
