What We Know

Kemba Walker will play tonight.
Walker was originally listed as probable, and then downgraded to questionable for tonight's game against the Clippers with a wrist sprain suffered last night. Now it seems as if Walker is going to play through it as the team announced he will start tonight. The Clippers have been hurting in the back court, and make a weak defensive target, but I'd worry about Walker aggravating the sprain during the night and having to leave early, so I'm staying away.

Mike Conley has been ruled out indefinitely.
Conley missed Wednesday's game against the Pacers, and will miss at least two weeks now as he deals with soreness in his achilles. Mario Chalmers and Tyreke Evans both benefitted from Conley's absence Wednesday and were highly touted in today's picks article as great options tonight in a fast paced, high scoring game against the Rockets.

Buddy Hield and Vince Carter have been ruled out.
The Carter news is no surprise as he has missed several games already with kidney stones, while Hield came into the day questionable with an ankle sprain, but now has been officially ruled out. The Kings have been playing around with the starting rotation and switched things up a bit last night, so who knows what's going on there. The system isn't too high on this game to begin with and I for one am staying away, though if you were really so inclined, Bogdan Bogdanovic would most likely return to the starters role in Hield's absence.

What We're Waiting to Know

Patrick Beverley is a game time decision.
Patrick Beverley has missed four straight games with a sore right knee, and his status for tonight is unknown. Sindarius Thornwell will likely draw the start once again but has been largely unimpactful from a fantasy perspective. Small forward Danillo Gallinari is also a GTD as he is being evaluated day-to-day by the Clippers as he works his way back from a glute injury. Wesley Johnson has been drawing starts in Gallos place, but has carried no fantasy impact in the process.

Ricky Rubio is probable tonight against the Magic.
Rubio has been upgraded to probable for tonight's tilt with the Magic, after missing last night's game against the Nets with a sore right achilles. If cleared to play, Rubio would return to the point and send Donovan Mitchell back to the shooting guard spot. Mitchell is a great play regardless, more on that below, but Hood would loose any fantasy value. Thabo Sefolosha is listed as questionable as well tonight, and will open opportunity for Jonas Jerebko if he misses with the Jazz running thin in the front court.

Every Lineup Guys

Tyreke Evans FD - $7400 DK - $7000
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 43.94 DK - 44.85
I wrote up three shooting guards in last night's picks article, and two of them are showing up everywhere in our top optimal lineups today. Leading off we have Tyreke Evans. Evans is putting up career numbers in his first season with Memphis, averaging 1.3 more three pointers per game while his 52.3 field goal shooting percentage tops the 47.8% he posted back in 2012-13. His minutes are on the uptick, and he has paid at least 5X PPD or better in four straight contests. Evans appears in the top 25 lineups our system is generating on both FanDuel and DraftKings, and is an excellent play everywhere.

Donovan Mitchell FD - $6400 DK - $6700
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 35.59 DK - 35.47
On FanDuel we need two shooting guards, and right alongside Tyreke, we have Donovan Mitchell making an appearance in every lineup spit out by our system. Mitchell was phenomenal in his first starting gig at point guard last night against the Nets with Ricky Rubio held out with an achilles injury posting a 6X PPD performance with a 15/7/8/1/1 line. Rubio is probable tonight for the contest in Orlando, but Mitchell has been posting solid fantasy performances since the start of the month, and has paid at least 5X in three of his last four games. Regardless of starting at the point or shooting guard position, Mitchell is promising against an unimpressive Orlando defense.
