What We Know
John Wall is out for tonights game against the Raptors.
Wall suffered a shoulder sprain Friday night in the Wizards loss to the Cavaliers, and though it doesn't seem too serious, the Wiz will hold him back tonight as they travel north of the border to Toronto. Tim Frazier is the likely candidate to start for Wall, however he is also listed as questionable which would lead to Tomas Satoransky starting at the point for Washington. Of all possible beneficiaries, I like Bradley Beal who will likely step in to lead the Washington offense regardless of who is at the one.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will miss a second straight game for personal reasons
MKG missed the Hornets contest on Friday against the Spurs for personal reasons and will remain out for tonight trip to Minnesota. Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky will be the primary beneficiaries of Kidd-Gilchrist's minutes though neither proved viable fantasy options on Friday night.
What We're Waiting to Know
Kristaps Porzingis will be a game time decision for the Knicks.
Zinger will be a game time decision with more word likely coming following shoot around, after he tweaked his ankle on Friday against the Suns. The injury doesn't seem too serious and it seems more than likely that Porzingis will take the floor tonight against the Pacers, but this is a situation to monitor closely with 30+ minutes up for grabs if he does indeed miss.
Elfrid Payton is questionable for the Magic tonight while D.J. Augustin remains a GTD.
Payton is currently listed as questionable for tonight contest against the Celtics after missing seven straight games with a strained hamstring. This is the second time in a row he has been listed as questionable so it does seem he is inching closer to a return, with more word likely coming following shoot around. The Magic have been hurting at the point without Payton, and now D.J. Augustin is listed as a game time decision after leaving Wednesdays game with a hamstring injury and subsequently missing Fridays game against the Bulls. Shelvin Mack started on Friday but only ran for 21 minutes and certainly didn't light the world on fire so should only be considered as a punt in large tournaments if he draws the start again tonight.
T.J. Warren is questionable for the Suns game with the Spurs tonight.
Warren left Friday's game with the Knicks after just ten minutes after taking a hit to the head. He is listed as questionable for today, but it doesn't seem too serious so the team will see how he feels following shoot around and make a call then. Should Warren miss tonight, Josh Jackson would likely absorb the minutes left vacant by Warren.
Every Lineup Guys
Kyrie Irving FD - $8400 DK - $8500
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 39.92 DK - 40.17
Kyrie Irving seems to be enjoying a rejuvenation, having gotten out of Cleveland and settling in nicely into his new surroundings up in Boston. After an impressive start for the narrative lovers out there against his former Cavaliers teammates to open up his career in Boston, Kyrie cooled off some but over the past five games he has been one of the more consistent players in the game, paying 5X or better at these prices in his last five contests. As we noted above Orlando is seriously hurting at the point and will struggle to keep pace with Kyrie who has been just as effective defensively for the Celtics as he has been on offense. You can pay all the way up for Westbrook, but from a points per dollar perspective, our system thinks you can do just as well with Kyrie for $2K less and use the savings elsewhere.
Kyle Kuzma FD - $5600 DK - $5600
Opponent - MEM
Proj Pts FD - 34.03 DK - 34.58
Kyle Kuzma drew the start for the Lakers after losing Larry Nance for 4-6 weeks, so based on what he did with those 38 minutes look for him to keep drawing the starts. In Friday's contest, Kuzma put together his first career double double pairing 21 points with 13 rebounds and paid off huge, nearly 9X on his then price. The cost has since jumped significantly but not enough to turn us away especially against a Grizzlies team allowing 21.4 points and 13.1 rebounds per game to opposing power forwards. It's another great spot for Kuzma at a price that is still climbing so be sure to get in now before it finally bubbles to the ceiling. Kuzma appears in the top 25 lineups our system is spitting out today and is an excellent consideration in all formats today.
