What We Know

Dennis Schroder has been ruled out against the Bulls

Schroder missed last game against the Heat and it resulted in Malcolm Delaney getting 33 minutes. Kent Bazemore also saw a few more minutes and played well. This match-up with the Bulls isn't great, but it's definitely better than the snail-paced Heat. Delaney is a solid value in cash games and Bazemore is a bit better in tournaments.

Malcolm Brogdon is in the starting lineup against the Celtics

This one is weird. Brogdon is now in trade talks for Eric Bledsoe. I'll be staying away, but there's no doubt he has upside in tournaments. If Brogdon is out, Dellavedova will pick up a ton of minutes and be a VERY nice cash game play against the Celtics. Middleton and Giannis may also see 1 or 2 more shots than normal. It won't really matter in a fantastic match-up against the Celts.

What We're Waiting to Know

Anthony Davis is unlikely to play, but officaly questionable

Let's assume AD plays. Against the Kings, this is still an interesting spot. Nobody is a must, but both AD and Cousins are still in play. If Davis sits out, Cousins and Holiday are elite cash games. Dante Cunningham should also pick up close to 30 minutes (at least), but you have to temper your expectations. The match-up against the Kings is nice and the usage bump with AD out is substantial. Make sure you get exposure to these studs if AD is out.

Marcus Smart is questionable against the Bucks

Smart has sat out the last 2 games, resulting in Terry Rozier getting 30 minutes and producing. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have also performed, but I'm not sure it has much to do with Smart being out. Rozier gets the biggest bump with Smart out, but Tatum and Brown are still in play if Smart is active. Either way, this is a game you want exposure to and while I'd lean towards caution if this was a 10-game slate, we only have 5 and a couple of these guys might be necessary for tournaments.

Mario Chalmers is questionable to play with a right ankle injury

Chalmers has been a solid backup PG, getting exactly 25 minutes in 3 of the 4 games. If he plays, stay away. If he's out, the bulk of his minutes should go to Andrew Harrison. Harrison gets time at the 1 and 2, so he could be a sneaky candidate for 30-35 minutes. The match-up with the Mavs is extremely slow, but he has value at his price if he gets those minutes. Conley is also locked into his 32+ whether Chalmers plays or not.

Paul Zipser is doubtful to play

Zipser isn't a real fantasy asset, but he takes up minutes from guys that could be. Expect most of them to go to Denzel Valentine and Quincy Pondexter. Neither are musts against an average Hawks squad, but you could do worse in tournaments. Valentine is the guy I'd rather have as he can stretch for close to 35 minutes and has no problem putting up shots in this offense.

Every Lineup Guys

I don't think anyone is a must tonight. We're looking at Giannis Antetokounmpo as our top superstar, but DeMarcus Cousins is right there as well. I don't feel good telling you to choose between the 2, because I surely won't. On the cheap-end, you have a bevy of options, even with just 5 games on the docket. Matthew Dellavedova, Zach Randolph, Ian Clark, Malcolm Delaney, Dante Cunningham, and Denzel Valentine are all worth a look. It just depends on your roster build, how much you need to save and what games/players you have exposure to. Although this is a short slate, it's packed with as much intrigue as most 10-gamers. Good luck!
