GOALIE
Craig Anderson FD - $8100 DK - $8300
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 16.43 DK - 4.11
After allowing four goals in the opening game vs. the Capitals, Anderson has been nearly flawless allowing just three goals in his last three games(.964 save%) including a shutout in Calgary in his last start. He should be well rested coming into this one as he got the night off on Saturday as the team found some offense in a 6-1 win over the Oilers. The matchup is about as good as it gets as the Sens are huge home favorites(-185) as the struggling Canucks travel across the country on their first road trip of the season. He is safe in all formats, especially on FanDuel where he comes a big discount as the 14th most expensive option.
Cory Schneider FD - $8500 DK - $7900
Opponent - TB
Proj Pts FD - 15.32 DK - 3.83
I prefer Anderson on both sites for cash games tonight but if you are looking to make a pivot in GPP's don't forget about Cory Schneider. He doesn't get near the matchup as the Lightning are currently ranked 5th in offense but they are playing on back to back nights on the road. The Devils have had a lot of early season success as they sit atop the Metropolitan Division and most of it falls on their defense and goaltending. Even after allowing five goals in his last start, Schneider still holds a .924 save % and 3-1 record through four starts and what I like most for GPP's is that he has faced just over 33 shots per game. There is some risk here but the reward could be big, especially if he is one of the lower owned options tonight.
Also Consider: Ben Bishop(DAL)
CENTERS
**As always, Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid are elite plays but very expensive. Let's dig a little deeper for some value on this big slate.**
Tyler Seguin FD - $8600 DK - $7500
Opponent - ARI
Proj Pts FD - 18.32 DK - 5.54
Alright, if you are a regular reader of the NHL article here at DFSR you realize I am not digging all that deep with my top pick(lol). What I like most about Seguin is the elite shot volume he is providing as he leads the league with 36 shots on the season(7.2 per game) and the fact that, on these big slates, he comes at a discount. The offense for the Stars has gotten off to a slow start but Seguin broke out against the Avs with his first multi-point game and for you FanDuel players, he has added value with three powerplay goals so far.
Stack with: Jamie Benn, Alexander Radulov
Kyle Turris FD - $5200 DK - $5700
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 14.76 DK - 4.35
Digging even deeper, Kyle Turris is a name that once again shows up at the top of the PTS/$ rankings tonight as he comes in under $6K on both sites. He started off the season slow with back to back pointless games but has turned it on lately with seven points in his last three including back to back multi-point efforts. Turris and the Sens are in a great spot tonight as big home favorites(-185) as the struggling Canucks will be traveling across the country to start their first road trip of the season. Turris is safe in all formats.
Stack with: Zack Smith, Ryan Dzingel, Mike Hoffman(PP)
Also Consider: Nicklas Backstrom(WSH) & Derek Stepan(ARI) for GPP formats
WINGERS
**If you are willing to pay the premium price then Alex Ovechkin is easily the top play at any position tonight. We have also made it clear through the first two weeks that we are very high on James Neal in all formats. Instead, I am going to provide you with a few other options on this Tuesday slate.**
Filip Forsberg FD - $7900 DK - $6800
Opponent - COL
Proj Pts FD - 16.27 DK - 4.93
After three straight seasons with 58 or more points in the regular season, Forsberg picked up 16 points in the playoffs and came oh so close to helping the Preds win a Stanley Cup. Well, he has picked up right where he left off and has scored in all but one game this season including four powerplay goals and seven points overall. Not only does he provide a high ceiling for GPP's but he also provides some safety with above average shot volume(3 shots per game). The Predators are heavily favorited(-185) at home vs. the Avalanche who, in my opinion, are overperforming early in the season. Roll out Forsberg in all formats.
Stack with: Ryan Johansen, Viktor Arvidsson
Artemi Panarin FD - $7500 DK - $6600
Opponent - WPG
Proj Pts FD - 14.31 DK - 4.01
Speaking of players who picked up where they left off, Artemi Panarin has been red hot since coming over from Chicago in a trade this summer. He spent his first two seasons in the NHL playing alongside superstar Patrick Kane and tallied 77 and 74 points. He may not be playing with a player of Kane's talent in Columbus but has been an offensive leader with seven points and a +5 rating through five games including two multi-pont efforts. The shot volume is a little lower than other players in his salary range and for me, that leaves him as a high-upside GPP play on both sites.
Stack with: Alexander Wennberg, Cam Atkinson
Evgenii Dadonov FD - $4600 DK - $5200
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 10.15 DK - 3.17
Believe it or not, Dadonov was drafted way back in 2007 by the Florida Panthers and spent parts of three season with the team before returning to the KHL where he has spent the last five seasons. He lit up the league last year recording 66 points for St. Petersburg SKA and has now made his return to the NHL. He has been thrust right into a big role on the top line and has not disappointed as he has already tallied five points in his first four games. If it continues you can fully expect his salary to rise fast so now is the time to jump on board. He is a safe play in all formats and gives you some nice salary relief to fit in some big names tonight.
Stack with: Vincent Trocheck, Nick Bjugstad
DEFENSEMEN
Justin Faulk FD - $5200 DK - $5200
Opponent - EDM
Proj Pts FD - 9.92 DK - 3.03
I am not real fond of paying up for defense tonight with so many top plays at the center and wing position. Enter Justin Faulk who sits in the mid-tier on both sites and has a lot of offensive upside. No, he hasn't picked up a point yet this season but is coming off three straight 15+ goal seasons and four straight 30+ point seasons. Despite the lack of offense early, he has provided a high floor with shot volume averaging over four per game. All things considered, he is safe in all formats vs. the Oilers who have allowed 14 goals in their first four games.
David Savard FD - $3700 DK - $3900
Opponent - WPG
Proj Pts FD - 9.79 DK - 2.86
Savard's price is still south of $4K on both sites so here I am talking about him once again as he is right near the top of the PTS/$ value. I have talked all season how he doesn't have a ton of upside but is averaging over three shots and blocks per game giving him an elite floor(for the price). Well, he finally came through on Saturday and give us a goal and an assist and came close to taking me to GPP glory. I am not expecting another offensive outburst but it is very possible as the Blue Jackets will be playing a Jets team that is allowing 3.6 goals per game. Fire up Savard in all formats.
Also Consider: Noah Hanifin(CAR) in all formats & Olli Maatta(PIT) in GPP formats

Your David Savard calls have been $$ so far. No reason to not go back with him against a defensively challenged Jets team.
Great article as always! Keep’em coming!
