Boston Red Sox

With a full slate of day games on the table, you'd expect a few more offenses to have run totals exceeding 5 runs. The Red Sox certainly do, sitting at 5.28 as we speak. The Sox have the honor of facing off with Jackson Stephens, who's not a MLB-caliber arm. Before getting called up, Stephens was walking over 3 batters per 9 innings in AA/AAA. He does have good movement on his pitches, but that movement far too often brings it into the dirt or 3 feet off the plate. He's struggled in his early innings in the majors and is going up against his toughest test yet in the form of the Boston Red Sox. The Sox hit righties well with a .341 wOBA, and oh ya, they move into one of the greatest parks to hit at in baseball. Fenway is definitely great, but it's nearly impossible for some guys to hit it out to right. The Great American Ballpark was right there with Coors Field in HR expectancy last year and it's kept up in 2017. Benintendi and Mookie are my favorites, with Moreland and Bogaerts following closely behind. The whole order can be played in a GPP as I don't think Stephens gets pas the 4th or 5th inning. Make sure to have some Red Sox exposure.

Main Stack - Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, Xander Bogaerts, Mitch Moreland
Sneaky Stack - Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, Rafael Devers, Jackie Bradley Jr.

Texas Rangers

It's not too tough to figure out why you want to stack against Jharel Cotton. First things first, he's just as bad against both sides of the plate. In a stack situation, that's ideal. It pushes you away from having to jump certain guys in the order and then be pissed when they come up with a platoon advantage out of the bullpen. With this one, you can stack a consecutive 4 guys, no matter their handedness. Cotton has allowed a .362 wOBA to righties and a .359 to lefties. He has an HR issue and runs into most problems once a speedy guy gets on-base and flusters him. This Rangers lineup is as lethal as can be and they have some HR bats who don't care what ballpark it is. Nomar Mazara and Shin-Soo Choo are 2 very safe, viable cash game plays out of the OF. The same can be said for Joey Gallo, Elvis Andrus, and Adrian Beltre. The bottom of the order is rather shotty, but a couple of the guys (Odor, Chirinos) have the power to hit it out anywhere. On a slate that doesn't require stacking, the Rangers shouldn't be any more than 15% owned across the board.

Main Stack - Shin-Soo Choo, Nomar Mazara, Elvis Andrus, Adrian Beltre
Sneaky Stack - Shin-Soo Choo, Nomar Mazara, Joey Gallo, Rougned Odor
