Hello football fans and welcome to another week of CFL action at DFSR. We will be covering the three-game slate on Draftkings starting at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday evening. You can also check out my game by game breakdown over at JagerBombs Fantasy Sports Blog. Let's get this party started.

 

Current Vegas Odds:

Calgary -4.5 @ Montreal (Total - 48.5)

Ottawa @ Edmonton -5.0 (Total - 57.5)

B.C. -3.0 @ Hamilton Total - 51.0)

 

QUARTERBACK

MIKE REILLY - EDMONTON - $10,800

The Eskimos' signal caller is off to a great start as he leads the league in quarterback efficiency  with a rating of 118.0, which is awesome. He also leads the league in completion percentage with 73.3%. Reilly has passed for 601 yards and three TD's in two games and he should be licking his chops this weekend. His opponent, the Redblacks, rank 2nd worst in overall yards allowed with 425 per game and 3rd worst in passing yards allowed per game (336.) This game should be a shoot-out, but Reilly will be higher owned. With that in mind, he is an elite cash game play this weekend.

MIKE HARRIS - OTTAWA - $10,100

We are going to want a lesser owned QB for our gpp lineups and here we have our man. Harris has had a great start to the year so far after three games. It's his team now after Henry Burris retired and he has thrown for 1095 yards with seven TD's and only two interceptions and has averaged 27.2 Draftkings points per game. Like I said above, this should be a very high scoring affair and Harris has a boat-load of weapons in his arsenal. Fire him up in your tournament lineups in this three game slate.

 

 

RUNNING BACK

JEREMIAH JOHNSON - B.C. - $7800

JJ has been a beast this year so far. He scored 28.5 Draftkings points last week and he leads the league with three rushing TD's and he's 2nd with 196 rushing yards. He has also hauled in 11 passes for 118 yards and a TD. He's been a two-dimensional back this season and he is an elite play in all formats against a bad Hamilton team. Fade him at your own risk.

JEROME MESSAM - CALGARY - $7000

This massive back has been doing what he has done best his whole career and that is running  over defenders. He's fun to watch and he gets to pick on a weak Montreal run defense on Friday evening. Jeremiah Johnson scored a whopping 28.5 Draftkings points against the same team that Messam plays this week. The Stampeders should take control of this game from the start, so look for Messam to pound the rock on the ground early and often. He is a solid play in all formats.

 

 

WIDE RECEIVER

BRANDON ZYLSTRA - EDMONTON - $6700

Derel Walker left for the Tampa Bay Bucs of the NFL in the offseason, so this guy is the new #2 WR in Edmonton. His teammate Adarius Bowman, will get a lot of attention from defenders as always and he is very expensive at $9700. Zylstra should see a ton of targets here and he has caught 11 of 15 passes for 188 yards in only two games. Look for him to have a huge game and possibly score his first TD against a weak Ottawa secondary. Fire Zylstra up in all formats.

BRAD SINOPOLI - OTTAWA - $6800

Yes I know, Greg Ellingson absolutely went off last week as he caught 10 passes for 170 yards and a TD. But his salary went through the roof all the way up to $8400. Well, Enter Brad Sinopoli, who will see more targets this week while Ellingson is double-teamed all game. Sinopoli has had a great year to start as he has caught 21 of 29 passes for 266 yards and a TD. You will want a piece or two of this Redblack squad, so fire Sinopoli up also in all formats.

KAMAR JORDEN - CALGARY - $7100

I have played this guy every week and for some reason he hasn't been very popular yet. Well, that will change this week as the 2nd year WR has caught 14 passes for 240 yards and 4 TD's and last week, he also rushed for a score. He is a red-zone target eating machine for his super-star QB Bo-Levi Mitchell. He will be popular this week, but strongly consider Jorden for your cash game lineups.

 

 

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS

CALGARY STAMPEDERS $5000

Montreal's offense stinks and Calgary has scored three defensive TD's and have averaged 17 Draftkings points in their last two games. BC is also a decent play, but I will be using the Stampeders in a large majority of my lineups this weekend.
