Isn't it just wonderful to get so many options at the pitcher position after a few days of small slates and very tough decisions? While I wouldn't consider Porcello on FanDuel at $8,400, I think he makes an excellent SP2 option in tournaments over on DraftKings at a salary under $7K. I fully understand why the price has fallen off a cliff. Porcello has been borderline terrible lately giving up five or more earned runs in three straight starts and enters tonight with a 5.05 ERA. The issue is centered around his fastball which is only creating a 4.9% swinging strike rate while opponents are hitting .376 off his two-seamer and .341 off his cutter this season. The good news is that his BABIP is way above his career average which suggests he is getting a bit unlucky when teams are putting the ball in play and the better news is that he is still striking guys with an 8.3 K/9 rate. Porcello and the Red Sox are currently sitting as -165 favorites facing a Trout-less Angels team and the low salary on DraftKings makes it so easy to pair him with one of the two elite pitchers(Strasburg or Archer) and still get three or four big bats in your lineup.

For an SP2 on DraftKings for cash games, I would much rather roll out Patrick Corbin who has a few things going for him tonight. First of all, he and the Diamondbacks are -185 favorites which is the biggest moneyline for any pitcher priced below $9K tonight. Second, he gets an elite matchup vs. the Phillies who not only rank second to last in overall runs scored, they also rank near the bottom of the league in hitting vs. left-handed pitching with a .299 wOBA, 81 wRC+, and 20.9% strikeout rate.  The Phillies have also ranked dead last in hitting over the last 14 days(.284 wOBA, 72 wRC+) and have struck out(24.7%) more than all but one team. Corbin has not been the most consistent option and sits with a 5.19 ERA but the price and matchup are too much to pass up for me tonight.

Also Consider: Michael Fulmer(GPP only as the K upside isn't high but the matchup is elite)
