With just one hitter from Coors Field in the main article today, you knew this was coming. The Cardinals enter the Friday slate as the highest projected scoring team as they travel to Colorado to get a huge park boost tonight. It's not quite as inviting as when the Nationals went into Coors but the prices are also not nearly as steep either. On DraftKings, you can get any hitter you want in the mid $4K range or lower while only two players(Gyorko/Carpenter) exceed $4K on FanDuel. The Cards are more built around pitching than their offense and it shows as they rank 23rd in overall runs scored but looking at their current wins we see they have scored five or more runs in each of their last 10 wins. Tonight they face rookie Antonio Senzatela who started out his career in style going 3-1 in his first four starts with a 2.08 ERA with 17 strikeouts and just four walks. Since that hot start, we have seen a steady regression from Senzatela as he has posted a 4.37 ERA, 5.30 xFIP over his last six starts while striking out just over five batters per nine and has allowed eight earned runs over his last two starts. There is nothing that really stands out from a home/away splits perspective for Senzatela but he has given up close to a 40 point higher wOBA to left-handed bats so be sure to target Dexter Fowler and Matt Carpenter in your Cardinals stacks.
Here we are again. Another day another Red Sox stacking recommendation. While they don't get to hit in Coors Field, I still feel they will be popular tonight as the bats have been absolutely red hot since Sunday afternoon. After putting up six runs and sweeping away the Rangers last night, the Red Sox have now scored 38 runs over their past four games and now sit just outside the top 10 in overall run production. I don't see much changing tonight as they get an elite matchup vs. Yovani Gallardo who is coming off his worst start of the year where he gave up nine earned runs to the White Sox who struggle vs. right-handed pitching. Gallardo has also given up five home runs over his last three starts and sits with a below average 14.9% HR/FB rate and is having trouble missing bats with a sub 8% swing strike rate. This all points to great things for the Red Sox in fantasy tonight as they don't struggle vs. right-handed pitching with a .328 wOBA and 102 wRC+ on the season. The nice part about the choice between the Cards in Coors or the Red Sox in Fenway is that both teams are relatively close in salary. This means I will be choosing my pitchers on both sites and then swapping in both stacks to cover my bases(pun intended).
**Be sure to check back in the afternoon as I will be posting a YouTube video with a few more pitching options and another stack or two that I like tonight for GPP formats.**
