Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks were in this spot yesterday, and true to what Brent said, if they're in a hitter friendly park against a southpaw, they will be back, so here we are a day later. The Rockies will send another lefty to the hill tonight in the form of Tyler Anderson, and while the DBacks didn't deliver quite as we would hope last night with only 2 of their starting 8 contributing double digit FanDuel points, we have to acknowledge their being right back in play today. Anderson comes in with a 1-3 record through 5 starts this season, which is not surprising as it's tough to pick up a win when you're only averaging 5 innings per start. He's allowing 2.13 HR/9 and though only 2 of his long balls allowed have come outside of Coors, the park similarities here make this almost like a Coors game. He's also holding a 4.09 xFIP this season and his wOBA (.408) against righties is something to behold. For Arizona's half of the deal Brent covered the Lefty bashing they're capable of yesterday. Dating back to last season Yasmany Tomas and Paul Goldschmidt are sporting a .420 and .432 wOBA respectively with A.J. Pollock, and Chris Owings not far behind at .355 each. Despite the fact that Tomas went 0for at the plate last night, that wOBA and his price, especially on FanDuel will have me right back at it tonight with Goldy, Pollock and Owings.

Chicago Cubs

The Cubbies continue their interleague series with the Red Sox in Fenway. Today they step in to the box to face Steven Wright. Wright has been extremely inconsistent to start the season, going a combined total of 5 inning in two starts where he got rocked by the Orioles. While his other two starts were slightly more productive, there is plenty we can exploit on Wright. While he struck out a respectable 7.3/9 last season, to date this year, he's only getting K's at a 4.58 clip per 9, while allowing a .468 wOBA to left handed batters which jumps to an astounding .523 vs right handers. Chicago will come at him from each side of the plate. I went into detail on Kyle Schwarber, Addison Russell, and Kris Bryant in the picks article. They're all excellent plays today. Schwarber especially, coming in at an absolute value on FanDuel along with Ben Zobrist. Also worth consideration are Anthony Rizzo and Jason Heyward who sport .361 and .382 wOBA's against right handers this season. Together the Cubs are a team with the fourth best wOBA in the NL (.330), and second best OBP (.344) and they show great patience at the plate with a combined 10% walk rate which is second in the National League.

Houston Astros

This one is a little more risky, but when playing the large GPP's you have to be willing to take some risks to win big right? The Astros continue their weekend series with the Athletics in Houston today. Oakland will send young right hander Andrew Triggs to the hill. We don't have a whole lot to go on with Hill, he's 4-2 in ten career starts (3-1 through 4 this season) He's only allowed 1 home run in 5 starts this season, but allowed 5 in 5 during his brief time up last season. This is where we want to keep an eye on the conditions in Houston, if the roof is open, the wind is expected to be be blowing out to left center at a strong 16 MPH. This could bode well for the long ball game for the Astros, who currently have 28 home runs as a team. The top two thirds of the lineup are well in play here. Houston's combined team wOBA of .334 is second best in the AL, they walk 8.7% of the time so there should be plenty of base runners. I prefer George Springer, J.J. Reddick, Jose Altuve, and Alex Bregman but there is a case to be made for Carlos Correa and Carlos Beltran as well.

  • The teams recommended yesterday to stack Cleveland Detroit and Arizona scored five runs COMBINED!! FIVE RUNS COMBINED. What is the point of a website… If only I would've rostered did the SPs facing Detroit Cleveland and Arizona I would've cashed !!! WOW I know you guys hate B vs P but I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face. Love ya ❤️

    • Despite what you hear on this site, B v P is real. Hot streaks are real. Slumps are real. Anyone who played the game knows it and accepts it as a "real thing". The whales that play the big GPP's know it and it is accounted for in their algorithms, ie. Tommy G. and the Mafia.
