Welcome back for another night of playoff hockey with DFSR. Very small two-game slate tonight with the Caps and Leafs all tied up at two games apiece while the Bruins will look to stay alive in Ottawa. Let's jump in and take a look at a few of the top plays from each game.
Hockey is back and with it comes our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. With 26 total goals scored in the Washington/Toronto series, I will take my chances with Rask as I feel the Bruins have a lot more fight in them. Rask was definitely not the issue in game four as he saved 26 of 27 shots he faced as the Bruins fell 1-0 in a very defensive game. Rask has also been pretty good on the road this season with a .914 save % and three shutouts.

Series Update - Tied 2-2
This has been, by far, one of the most exciting series in the playoffs thus far. A total of 28 goals have been scored between the two teams and every game has been a goal game with three of them going to overtime. Seriously, what more could we ask for? It is now a best of three series with the Caps regaining home ice advantage. This is going to be good!

On a two-game slate, it will be even more important to get those value plays into your lineups. I have road these two all series and will continue to do so tonight. Williams failed to record a point for the first time in the series in game four but did record two blocks and two shots. With the series getting down to the nitty gritty, look for Mr. Playoffs to step up and deliver more clutch work. As for Orlov, he has been a stud from a PTS/$ perspective with two points, 11 blocks and 10 shots through four games while skating an average of 25 minutes per game.

No changes on the Leafs side of things either this week. Hard to argue these two haven't been two of the best players for the Leafs through the first four games, at least from a DFS perspective. Bozak has recorded a point in all four games and added 12 shots with three blocks and is sub $5K on DraftKings. Rielly comes at a sub $5K price on both sites tonight and after a dud in game one, has tallied four points in his last three games with 11 shots on goal and 12 blocks.

Series Update - OTT 3-1
After, what I thought was a series changing penalty call in game three overtime, the Bruins lost all rhythm in game four and were shutout by Craig Anderson and the Sens. They now enter game five with their backs against the wall and to stay alive will have to win on the road. As I mentioned above with Rask, I feel the Bruins still have gas left in the tank and can force a game six at home. I do, however, expect a lower scoring game so I will be building my lineups around Rask.

Look for the Bruins best player to step up in game five and lead by example. Bergeron has been held off the scoresheet in two straight games but has two points, four blocks, and 12 shots making him the safest option on his team. For the Bruins to get back in the series they will have to start scoring when they get their powerplay chances and Spooner plays with the top unit and provides some much-needed salary relief.

If you are just not feeling my Bruins call tonight, I would stick with the value plays in this game as there is a high probability of a low scoring game. Good news. Bobby Ryan leads the team with five points and is second in shots(14) all while skating just over 14 minutes per game. On the back end is another punt/value option with Cody Ceci. There is literally no offensive upside but he does skate over 23 minutes per game and has blocked 16 shots this series. Rolling out all three value D-men I mentioned might be a contrarian approach on DraftKings and will allow you to get an extra star in your lineup on a small slate.
