Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/10/17
Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
What We Know
LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Tristan Thompson are out while Kevin Love is doubtful
The Cavaliers projected lineup is Deron Williams, J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson, and Channing Frye. Derrick Williams should also see substantial minutes off the bench if Love is out. All 5 of the starters are in play with the top 3 being Williams, Frye, and Smith. All 3 should shoot a ton and the prices are obviously way off. Shumpert and Jefferson are fine punts but nowhere near the others.
Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, and Allen Crabbe will all be rested tonight
The Blazers are REALLY short-handed tonight. Shabazz Napier and Pat Connaughton will start for the 2 stars and both make good value plays. Maurice Harkless and Evan Turner will also both play a lot and shoot more than normal. With no active centers on the roster, expect Meyers Leonard and Aminu to see big minutes. The Spurs are a slow team and I will only have 2 or 3 guys from this Blazers team because of it.
Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood will sit out against the Warriors
With George Hill back, he could be an interesting tournament option against the fast-paced Warriors. Joe Ingles and Jose Johnson will both see a lot of minutes and I like both in all formats. The Warriors play fast and there will be plenty of places to look. Rudy Gobert could also see an uptick in shots taken tonight.
Klay Thompson will rest against the Jazz
Patrick McCaw will likely get the start but remains a guy who is useless in DFS. With Durant back, the Warriors are still trying to reacclimate him into the offense as the playoffs approach. Curry could be interesting against the Jazz but nothing more than a tournaments option.
Kemba Walker will miss the rest of the season with a left knee injury
With Kemba out for the year, the Hornets have given up on the season. Brian Roberts will likely start here and he's an interesting punt cash game option. Nicolas Batum will likely see some time at the point and I don't mind him against a fast Bucks teams. Zeller and Kaminsky could also see a few extra shots.
Lou Williams will rest against the Clippers
With only 2 games left on the Rockets schedule, Sweet Lou needs some rest. Eric Gordon and James Harden will both see 32+ minutes and make for good plays against the Clippers. The game should stay close and has the upside to stack in tourneys.
What We're Waiting to Know
John Wall and Otto Porter are questionable to play against the Pistons
If both of these guys play, I don't have much interest in this offense. if Wall is out, Brad Beal becomes very interesting. However, KCP is a shutdown defender, so a GPP fade would be interesting. If Porter is officially ruled out, Bojan Bogdanovic will draw 30+ minutes and makes for a tremendous cash game option.
The "Every Lineup" Guys
Deron Williams
With all 3 of the big 3 likely out tonight, somebody is going to have to shoot a lot. Even with James and Irving on the floor, Williams finds a way to get his shots up. Without those 2 ball-handlers, Williams will control the pace and shoot around 20 times. The Heat are pretty good against OG's, but it doesn't really matter. The price is crazy low for the minutes Williams will see and you almost have to play him in cash games.
Boban Marjanovic
Marjanovic has seen 28 and 23 minutes in his last two. In those games, he finished with 44 and 27 fantasy points. He should see at least 20 minutes against the Wizards tonight and pay off his salary rather easily. Boban is an absolute DFS monster when on the floor and has been at 1.46 FPP per minute since the start of the season. As long as he gets the minutes, the production is guaranteed.

How can the Cavs give tonight’s game away when they could still secure the #1 seed? This “rest” deal is a joke! How many old-timers played 82 games per season? They must think today’s guys are soft.
