Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/31/17

Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!

Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.

By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!

What We Know

George Hill is out to play against the Wizards

Hill missed last game and Shelvin Mack ended up playing 30 minutes. He isn't a guy I have any interest in tonight. Gordon Hayward also picked up some minutes and played a bit of point forward, which gives him a lot of upside. Hayward is a SF I have exposure to in tournaments.

Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out against the Pistons

Khris Middleton and Matthew Dellavedova are the 2 that gain the most here. Middleton is the only one I have interest in as Delly doesn't have nearly enough upside for this slate. Middleton will see 34-36 minutes and have a chance to get hot from the field. Giannis could also see a few extra usage points in a pretty good individual match-up.

Marc Gasol is out against the Mavericks

Gasol has missed the last two, so we have a pretty good idea of what's going on here. Zach Randolph and Brandan Wright will both see big minutes and are good plays. Z-Bo is one of the top options at PF and makes for a tremendous cash game option. He fits the mold of a center in a small lineup.

Robert Covington and Jahlil Okafor have been ruled out against the Cavaliers

Okafor has been out for a while and Holmes + Long will continue picking up for him. As for Covington, Justin Anderson will see most of his minutes. He's a vry strong option against the Cavs where he will see close to 40 minutes.

Ty Lawson, Kosta Koufos, Anthony Tolliver, and Arron Afflalo will all be rested against the Pelicans

There is still no real place to look for the Kings. Sure, Willie Cauley-Stein can be used everywhere. After that, I don't have any confidence. Darren Collison is a great tournament play but lacks the safety for cash games. Garrett Temple could also see a few extra minutes and shots.

What We're Waiting to Know

Derrick Rose is questionable against the Heat

D-Rose has gotten quite frustrating lately, being questionable on a daily basis. If Rose plays, make sure you stay away. If Rose is ruled out, Ron Baker and Justin Holiday have the most to gain. They are both decent options but on a slate with so many options, there is no need.

Will Barton is currently doubtful against the Hornets

Barton plays about 25 minutes per game and does shoot a lot. If Barton misses, I expect Jamal Murray to pick up most of his minutes. Murray is a great GPP option as he can always get hot at any point. Juancho Hernangomez could also reenter the organization.

No status has been given on Reggie Jackson

I do expect Jackson to continue being rested, but nothing official has been given just yet. Ish Smith will remain in the starting lineup and play big minutes against the Bucks. He is an interesting option, but not a must against a team that covers PG's well.

Aaron Gordon is questionable against the Celtics

Gordon is a guy who doesn't really do much when on the court, but finds his own ways to get the ball and score. If he plays, he is an interesting GPP option. If Gordon misses, Mario Hezonja will likely get the start. With so many options on the slate, you don't have to look at him too hard.

The "Every Lineup" Guys

Lou Williams

A lot of people were on Lou Williams last night, in a match-up with the Blazers where he ended up disappointing. I like him a lot more tonight, facing off against the Warriors on the 2nd half of a back-to-back. The Rockets will lean on Williams heavily in this game as the starters won't be pushed, especially if the Warriors get out to an early lead. The Rockets want to get Sweet Lou going and this is the perfect match up. Williams could see a plethora of different defenders, which really won't matter. He is a guy who will shoot over anyone and it just depends if his shot is falling. The pace plays into the game and everything sets up for Lou Williams to have a great night.

Justin Anderson

Nobody is a must play on a slate with this many options. Justin Anderson is a guy who will see a ton of minutes with Robert Covington out. Anderson has produced when given the opportunity and will be needed on the floor to cover LeBron. He is the only one with the size and strength to contest LeBron in any shape, way, or form. Anderson will likely see the weakest Cavs defender on the floor, as he really isn't known as a scorer. He can hit 3's from the corner and score in transition, which gives him plenty of upside against a Cavs team that will promote running. Anderson is solid in both cash games and tournaments.
