Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
Thomas has definitely been struggling to play big minutes lately, so this is a good move by the Celtics. Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley should both get big minutes and make for terrific plays. Jae Crowder and Al Horford may also see some extra shots, but I don't think they get a huge bump.
This is a bummer for the Bulls, as this season has really went to garbage. Jimmy Butler will see a ton of minutes and shots on a nightly basis and is an awesome play tonight. Rajon Rondo has also been playing well lately and makes a ton of sense in both cash games and tournaments.
Booker hasn't been playing huge minutes lately, but this does open up a couple of things. Brook Lopez is now a lock for 30 minutes and he will dominate the Celtics interior. Quincy Acy could also pick up a few minutes but I don't have any interest on a slate with great value.
This is a bit of a weird and unexpected move out of the Suns, but it does make sense. Tyler Ulis is one of the more promising young guards in the league and it'll be interesting to see how he plays down the stretch. Against theMagic tonight, he is almost a must play. We will touch on him in a bit. Devin Booker and T.J. Warren should also get a few more minutes and shots each. You can expect their prices to slowly rise. You can target any of those 3 guys in cash games and Ulis is a great way to go in all formats.
Bjelica was a big spark over the last couple games for the T-Wolves, so this might hurt. As a team with one of the worst benches in the league, I expect Thibs to just play Dieng a few more minutes each game. He is an interesting way to go in both cash and tourneys.
With Bledsoe out for the year, Tyler Ulis will be left to run the point. He is under $6k on both sites and is basically a must play. Elfrid Payton is a fine defender, but lacks the speed to stay with Ulis. The Suns have been running a great pick n roll as of late, which should work just fine against Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic. They are both pretty poor interior defenders. Ulis can be counted on for at least 32 minutes and 25 fantasy points, which is the floor in my opinion. He will be in 100% of my lineups on both FanDuel and DraftKings.
Both of the "every lineup" guys are here due to injuries, which is a common theme among most of my lineups tonight. With so much value on the slate, you have to pay up somewhere. If you don't want to go complete stars and scrubs with Harden, you can look at Jimmy Butler. With Dwyane Wade out, he will see a ton of minutes and shots. This match-up with the Wizards is also an elite one, as they play extremely fast and not much defense. Butler has a floor around 45 fantasy points with a ceiling over 65. He is another guy I will lock into each and every lineup of mine.
