Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
BroLo missed fridays game with an ankle sprain, but seems to be geared up to return to action for tonight's tilt with the Knicks. This would send Justin Hamilton and Andrew Nicholson back to obscurity.
Philly is being cautious whit Henderson and his surgically repaired hip, they sat him out yesterday against the Clippers, but he should see some action on the Staples Center floor tonight against the Lakers. Timothe Luwawu would retun to the bench and Nik Stauskas would see his usage dip some.
Len sat out last night with a hip injury. It's unclear how serious the injury is, but regardless of who draws the start at center, Alan Williams, remains the best money play in Phoenix. See below for more.
Dragic traveled with the team to Indiana, but it is unclear if he will be able to play tonight due to a right orbital contusion suffered last night against the Raptors. Look for the Dragon to be a game time decision as Miami waits to see how he looks during pre game warm ups.
Korver sat out Thursdays contest against the Pistons, but is traveling with the team so depending how his foot feels, he could potentially see some action tonight in Houston. If he is able to play, it could cut in to Iman Shumpert and DeAndre Liggins workload.
We preach it time and again, target the Nets. Tonight is no different. The Knicks head in to Brooklyn tonight to face the Nets in a fast paced competitive contest. Vegas has this one pegged with a 220.5 over/under and because the Knicks are not without their own struggles this season, it's a mere 1 point spread. The Nets are allowing nearly 50 fantasy points to opposing small forwards this season due to 11% more scoring, 9% more rebounds and 2% more assists than league average. Melo should see 35+ minutes in this one, easily paying value with potential for 6.5X upside. The system has Anthony everywhere and so will I.
What does this guy have to do to draw a start? I guess if it's not broken don't try and fix it. Williams has been coming off the bench since the All Star break behind Alan Len and has been consistently producing from both an NBA and a fantasy perspective. Last night Alex Len was out with sore hip and the Suns still opted to bring Williams in off the bench behind Derrick Jones Jr. Williams saw 26 minutes but did unerwhelm us a bit against a tougher Dallas defense. The Blazers are a more average opponent and Williams, regardless of coming off the bench or if he draws the start, should be looking at a beneficial match up with opportunity to produce nicely for both cash and tournament lineups.
