Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
Boston has announced they will sit Horford and Bradley tonight. Jonas Jerebko and Jaylen Brown will start in their place. The Celtics have also announced Gerald Green will play tonight while Tyler Zeller though still unconfirmed is expected to play.
Matthews hip kept him sidelined for a couple of games, but he participated in shoot around this morning and is ready to return to the starting lineup tonight against OKC. This should most likely send Nerlens Noel back to the bench reducing his playing time.
Morris bruised his thigh in Friday's game against the Raptors. He sat out practice Saturday but the team announced he will suit up for tonight's game against the Magic.
The Thunder have yet to rule Oladipo out officially, but all signs point to him missing another game due to back spasms. Alex Abrines should continue to draw the start in his place.
Hood looks to miss a third game due to knee soreness, while Johnsons groin which led to a last minute scratch on Friday seems likely to keep him out another game. Joe
Ingles and Alec Burks should see added run against the Kings should these players both miss.
Both Boogie and the Brow (worst buddy cop comedy ever) are appearing in the top ten lineups put out by our lineup optimizer as of this writing (2pm est.). I didn't want to put two of the most expensive guys here so I opted to combine them in to one writing. I prefer Cousins because he comes in a smidge cheaper than Davis and presents slightly better upside. Both of these Pelican bigs have excellent floors, against a sloppy Lakers defense that plays at one of the fastest clips in the league. If you can fit both, and it's not out of the realm of possibilities then do it. If you have to choose, I prefer Boogie for the salary relief but if you have that little bit of extra spend then Davis is only limited by his risk of leaving in the first quarter with a stubbed toe.
Terrence Ross is a must have tonight, coming in way underpriced, particularly on FanDuel. In his last four outings Ross is seeing an average of 35 minutes and aside from a poor shooting night against the Knicks, he's exceeded value in each game. Tonight he draws a fast paced match up with the
Wizards and the opportunities to put up fantasy points should be plenty. The DraftKings pricing has me a little nervous about upside, but as a cash game play I love me some Terrence Ross and will definitely have some FanDuel tournament exposure to boot.
