Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
Cousins will receive a game off for the technical he received last game and will continue missing games and he continues acting foolish. Anthony Davis will see a few more shots and a lot more usage and will also have his minutes secured over 35. The Pistons have some good big men, but aren't too good on defense. Andre Drummond and Jon Leuer are far too big and unathletic to stay with AD. Harris could also take a shot, but he's far too small.
With Joakim Noah already ruled out, the Knicks will be shorthanded. Kyle O'Quinn and Kristaps Porzingis will both see over 30 minutes and make for good plays. While POrzingis is coming off of an injury, he looks to be a full go. O'Quinn has been very inconsistent, but I think the Knicks have no choice but to play him a lot of minutes. Lance Thomas could also see some minutes at 4, but has no appeal outside of large-field tournaments.
Matthews has been playing big minutes recently for the Mavs, who have needed a lot of production from the guard spot. With Wes out, Seth Curry and Harrison Barnes both have their minutes secured over 35. Yogi Ferrel should also see at least 30 minutes and should be way too under-owned for this spot. Dennis Schroder struggles on defense and Yogi does have big upside.
Nelson is a huge part of this Nuggets offense right now and this something you certainly want to keep an eye on. If Nelson plays, he's a good option against a Bucks team that struggles against guards. If Nelson misses, Jamal Murray will be one of the top value options on the board and should see over 30 minutes. The status of Emmanuel Mudiay is also unknown, so make sure you stay on Twitter up to lock.
Aaron Gordon is a guy we wanted to target tonight, but it's always hesitant to target a guy with an injury. He has also seen very inconsistent minutes even when healthy, so be careful. If Gordon plays, I will have some exposure in large-field tournaments. If he misses, Jeff Green and Terrence Ross will both see 35 minutes. Ross is one of the top options on this slate and someone we will touch on more in a second.
Both of these guys were in the main picks article and remain great options for the same reasons. Willie Cauley-Stein has taken a huge role in this Kings offense with Boogie Cousins traded to the Pelicans. You can pencil Cauley-Stein in for 32 minutes with the chance for 36-38. He has shown crazy upside recently as well, shooting over 20 times in a game just a week ago. This match-up with the Nets is ideal, as they play extremely fast and with a lot mistakes. Cauley-Stein is a guy who excels in that type of game, as he gets his upside from rebounding and blocks. WCS is a terrific option in both cash games and tournaments.
Ross has been insanely good after getting traded for Serge Ibaka and looks to be a big piece in this Magic offense. He takes on a Knicks team that has struggled against guards, allowing the most FP per game to SG's over the last month. The Knicks have also sported the league or DefRtg of 114.4 since January, which means they can't really cover anyone. With Aaron Gordon also questionable, he could be forced to play huge minutes. Either way, Ross is one of the top options on the board in all formats.
