Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
Thompson is a guy who takes a ton of shots for the Warriors, that will now have to go elsewhere. Sure, his fill-in will take 3 or 4 shots but that;s not who gets the real bump. Both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant should see a bigger usage, and at least 3 more 3-pointers each. This game has a nearly 240 over/under, and I like everyone in this game in all formats.
Thad Young has missed about 2 weeks now and not much has changed for these Pacers. C.J. Miles and Myles Turner have seen the most shot increase, but not by much. All of these guys are tournament-only options against the Spurs, unless more news is released.
Zeller is an integral part of the Hornets interior, and thy have suffered in his absence. Frank Kaminsky is the guy who benefits most and I have interest in all formats. Marvin Williams also gains some GPP appeal against a weak 76ers frontcourt. Plumlee is not too great of a fantasy player and you can fully ignore him.
Chandler is the only center who has a chance of slowing Anthony Davis down on the Suns, so this could get tough. AD gets a huge first bump, and he is an elite play. Alex Len and Marquees Chriss could also see a few extra minutes and are both great tournament options. Alan Williams is a deep tournament flier.
This is huge news and will swing a lot with this slate. If Chandler does play, he is a great tournament play and has a ton of upside. If Chandler misses, they will have a lot of minutes to fill with Danilo Gallinari already on the shelf. Will Barton is the guy who will likely play around 40 minutes and can be played anywhere. Juancho Hernangomez could also see a few extra minutes, and he has done well when on the court.
Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the league and faces off with one of the absolute worst interiors around. They will also be without Tyson Chandler, who is the only guy who stands a chance. In turn, Davis will see the defense of Alex Len and Alan Williams. Both of those guys are way under-skilled, and could easily give up a 70 spot to Davis. While his price is up there, he is 4k cheaper than Westbrook and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Davis finish with more fantasy points. This is an ideal spot for Davis, who has as much upside as anyone in the game. He is the top option at PF in both cash games and tournaments.
The Blazers traded away Mason Plumlee for Jusuf Nurkic, though he won't make his debut tonight. With Plumlee of the floor, Lillard has seen a monstrous bump. In over 500 minutes, he has held a 44% usage rate, which is 3 points higher than Russell Westbrook. Lillard takes on a Hawks team that is very average against point guards, allowing the 14th most fantasy points per minute. Lillard should see at least 20 shots tonight, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see somewhere close to 30. Lillard could also go overlooked rather easily, with so many quality options at PG. Lillard is a top option at PG in both cash games and tournaments.
