Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/7/17

Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!

Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.

By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!

What We Know

J.J. Barea will play tonight.
Barea told reporters earlier today that he will play tonight against the Hawks. Bareas return creates a logjam in the Mavericks back court, so we will have to wait and see how his return will impact Seth Curry and Devin Harris, or if Barea sees a more limited run sharing time with those two.

George Hill will play tonight.
Hill will return to the starting lineup tonight for the Jazz, sending Shelvin Mack back to the bench. Hill comes in at an affordable price and could make for a good tournament play against the Timberwolves slightly below league average defense.

What We're Waiting to Know

Will the Pistons/Blazers game happen?
This is a big one. Currently there's an ice storm in Portland and there's talk of postponing the game tonight. Of course, it's the last game of the evening, so hopefully we get word in time. For what it's worth, the Portland minor league hockey team that play nearby have already postponed their game for tonight. If word doesn't come in time, I would fade this one entirely, unless you're feeling adventurous in a gpp.

Cody Zeller is questionable against the Spurs.
Zeller has already missed 3 straight games, and is a game time decision tonight. If he should sit a fourth game, Roy Hibbert would likely draw the start again, though the primary beneficiary so far has been Frank Kaminsky who could make for a good value option.

Patrick Patterson is questionable against the Bulls.
Patterson has missed three games with a strained left knee and could sit again tonight against the Bulls. If he doesn't go then Lucas Nogueira would make an interesting punt starting at the 4, Jonas Valanciunas could also potentially see more run.

The "Every Lineup" Guys

Jeremy Lamb
With Nicolas Batum out, Lamb will draw the start tonight against the Spurs. In his only other start this season against the Knicks back in November, Lamb went off for a 18/17/2 line with a steal in 36 minutes paying 11X this salary. If he even puts up half that production tonight he's well worth it. At a tough position expect Lamb to be the chalkiest of chalk.

Myles Turner
I wrote last night that center just wasn't a desirable position tonight. KAT and Gobert are going against each other, Drummond is a consideration, if he even plays tonight, but that salary is better spent elsewhere. Turner makes the best choice for your cash line ups, and our system agrees. The Pacers host the Knicks tonight in a high scoring fast paced match up. While Joakim Noah is a decent defender, Turners been on fire lately, paying more than 6X this price point in 2 of his last 3 games. There should be a lot of fantasy production coming out of this game, and I expect Myles to contribute heavily to that.
