Daily Fantasy Football News and Notes FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 16 12/24/16

In this article, we'll be breaking down the top news around the league and provide you with an analysis of what we expect to happen. We will also provide you with an "every lineup guy" section, just like we did for baseball. As always, these picks are informed by our lineup optimizer, the NFL spread for each contest, year to date NFL stats, and so on. NFL News and Notes

• Adrian Peterson is not expected to return this season.
• Brandon Marshall is listed as questionable for this week, as he's experiencing shoulder and back issues.
• Julio Jones was removed from the injury report this week, so he'll be out there.
• Melvin Gordon is out once again.
• John Brown is expected to play this week, but will more than likely be on a snap count.
• Theo Riddick is doubtful to play once again in Week 16.
• Steve Smith was able to practice in full on Friday, so expect him to play this week.
• A.J. Greenand Tyler Eifert have been ruled out.
• C.J. Fiedorowicz practiced in full this week, so expect him to play.
• Jeremy Hill is on the injury report with a knee injury, but he's expected to play.
• Randall Cobb has been ruled out.
• James Starks will not play in Week 16.
• Jared Goff will start for the Rams on Saturday.
• Greg Olsen will play this week.
• Ladarius Green is considered doubtful for Sunday, as he's dealing with a concussion.
• Jordan Reed did not practice all week, which means that he's closer to doubtful.
• Matt Forte is doubtful for Week 16.
• Lamar Miller has been ruled out for Week 16.
• Allen Hurns has been ruled out for Week 16.
• Torrey Smith will miss the remainder of the season.

"Chalk Play"

Mike Evans (TB) vs. NO

Mike Evans is the highest priced receiver on this week's slate, and is someone I expect to see in quite a few lineups. He draws a great matchup going up against a Saints' squad that has allowed an average of 271.2 passing yards per game (31st in NFL.) Not only that, but they have also allowed the 6th-most receiving yards to opposing wide receivers this season. Their top cornerback, Delvin Breaux is questionable for this week, so this could give Evans an even bigger boost if he sits this contest out.
