Daily Fantasy Football News and Notes FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 14 12/11/16

In this article, we'll be breaking down the top news around the league and provide you with an analysis of what we expect to happen. We will also provide you with an "every lineup guy" section, just like we did for baseball. As always, these picks are informed by our lineup optimizer, the NFL spread for each contest, year to date NFL stats, and so on. So let's welcome football back into our lives, and let's get this show on the show on the road!

NFL News and Notes

• Marvin Jones did not play in Week 13 and is still listed as questionable, but he is expected to play this week.
• Julio Jones is a game-time decision for Week 14.
• Eric Ebron was a limited participate in practice all week and still has the questionable tag, but you can expect him to play today.
• Adam Humphries is still in concussion protocol, so he'll sit out this week.
• Ryan Mathews will be on the field for Sunday's contest.
• Allen Hurns will once again not play this week.
• Dorial Green-Beckham did not practice on Friday, which he means we probably won't see him on the field today.
• Theo Riddick was a limited participate in practice this week, but should be out there come Sunday.
• Martellus Bennett was not able to practice in full this week, but is expected to be out there on Sunday.
• John Brown is still not 100%, but is expected to be on some sort of snap count. It's best not to play him this week.
• Mark Ingram was a limited participate on Friday and is expected to play today.
• Tavon Austin was taken off the injury report earlier in the week, which means he'll be on the field today.
• Michael Thomas was able to practice on Friday, so expect him to be out there today. Beat writers don't seemed to concerned with his status for today's contest.
• A.J. Green incase you were wondering, A.J. Green will not play on Sunday.
• Jordan Matthews will play on Sunday.
• Eddie Royal is not expected to play today.
• DeVante Parker practiced in full on Friday, so he'll be out there.
• Jordan Reed is expected to play on Sunday against the Eagles.
• Trevor Siemian will start on Sunday despite the questionable tag.
• Mohamed Sanu will not play on Sunday.
• Charles Sims was activated from the IR and will be available for Sunday.

"Chalk Play"

Mike Evans (TB) vs. NO

Last week's chalk play was Drew Brees, but this week people are picking on his squad and will have, Mike Evans in their lineups. This game has the highest total on the slate at 51 and should be a fun one to watch (if you hate defense.)

So, the Saints are allowing an average of 276.8 passing yards this season (31st in NFL) along with an average of 26.4 points against (29th in NFL.) The Saints' defense has drastically improved, but people will still be all over the talented 23-year-old and I can't blame them. Yes they have improved, but they still aren't a defense to be completely worried about like the Ravens.
