Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
Hill will miss a second game due to his toe. Dante Exum got the start in the last game but didn't produce much of anything from a DFS perspective. Shelvin Mack on the other hand picked up 33 minutes and might be worth a shot in a large tournament.
Wade did not make the trip to Dallas for the second half of the Bulls back to back. Jimmy Butler benefits greatly when Wade sits and pushes near must play status in all formats. Isaiah Canaan and Nikola Mirotic warrant a look as well.
Vince Carter is still day to day with that hip, Zach Randolph remains out indefinitely and the Grizz will most likely only dress about 10 players for tonights game with the Lakers. JaMycal Green and Troy Williams have been solid cash game options as of late, and Marc Gasol looks to eat a ton of minutes as the offensive game rests on his shoulders.
Millsaps hip will keep him sidelined for at least one more game as the Hawks travel up to Toronto tonight. After suffering their seventh loss in eight games last night Mike Budenholzer alluded to possibly making some changes to the starting five to shake things up a bit.
Jokic will miss a second straight game. This will most likely mean more run for Jusuf Nurkic, but with Denver going up against the sluggish Jazz I would avoid in cash games and even keep tournament exposure to a minimum as there are better options out there.
If Hoods hamstring keeps him out again this would give a boost to Joe Johnson who should draw the start against the Nuggets playing on the tail end of a back to back.
Sure, the blow out risk is real in this one, but when it comes to the Warriors, when isn't it? Klay however is the guy you look to if you do want exposure to two of the leagues fastest paced teams in what Vegas has as the highest scoring game of the night. Klay started the season off slow but has really turned it up recently, averaging 22.9 points and 4 rebounds over his last 10 games. Like Austin said, the whole Warriors squad is in consideration for big tournaments, but for his price, I would give a long hard look to Klay for my cash games as well.
The Heat travel in to Portland tonight to take on the Trailblazers and it should be another big night for Whiteside. He's averaging nearly 15 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. The Blazers are about league average against opposing centers this season and Miles Plumlee should have his hands full here. While Towns might be worth a look in tournaments for some separation, Whiteside is pretty much a lock for cash game consideration.
