Welcome back to another big night of Daily Fantasy Hockey. After a quiet two game Monday night we have a full 12 game schedule tonight with a ton of excellent fantasy matchups. Let's dig in and take a look at some of the top values from our projection system.
Hockey is back and with it come our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. When you purchase a DFSR NHL subscription to our base hockey projections you also get access to our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

The Sharks are by far the biggest favorites(-245) on the slate putting Martin Jones in a great position to pick up a win. I am not a fan of the minimal shots he faces(26.1 SA/60) but as that big of a favorite I will consider using him in all formats. The Coyotes come in with the 21st ranked offense, 28th ranked powerplay and worst record in the Western Conference. The Sharks have also been much better at home(7-3) lead by their netminder who has a 6-3 home record with an impressive .933 save percentage.

Proj Pts FD - 19.38 DK - 4.85
King Henrik is another strong option as the Rangers are also strong favorites(-195) at home tonight. Lundy hasn't been the same dominant force he used to be but is still a rock between the pipes. He also has the benefit of the leagues top offense in front of him putting less pressure on to be perfect night in and night out. He will face a mediocre Hurricanes team who rank 20th in offense and 16th in defense but sit near the bottom of the Eastern Conference due to their poor record(3-5-4). Look for a big Rangers win with a real possibility of a shutout tonight.
Also Consider: Calvin Pickard(COL)**GPP**

If you opened up either of the DFS sites or any NHL schedule you could have easily guessed who would top the center values in my article today. Until he shows that he is actually human and not a robot sent from planet hockey we can continue to roll him out with confidence. He leads the league with 29 points in just 23 games and is easily on pace to top 100 points this season. He also gets an elite matchup tonight as the leafs come to town with their 28th ranked defense. Look for a high scoring game with McJesus right in the middle of it all.
PP Stack With: Jordan Eberle, Milan Lucic, Leon Draisaitl

Proj Pts FD - 14.82 DK - 5.13
Turning our attention to the other high projected scoring team we can easily find some value. Couture is starting to pick up the offensive pace with six points in his last 10 games but the biggest sign of him trending is his 32 shots over that time. He is playing the second line for the Sharks but jumps up to the top unit on the powerlay adding to his overall value.
PP Stack with: Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns, Patrick Marleau
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 11.54 DK - 3.71
Zetterberg makes more of a GPP play tonight as he is getting up there in age and has lost the consistency we once knew him for in the past. On the bright side he has recorded seven points over his last 10 games and is coming off a season high six shots on goal. He and the Red Wings get a nice matchup tonight as the Stars come to town as the only team playing on a back to back and sit tied with Philadelphia as the worst defensive team(3.3 goals against per game) in the NHL.
Stack with: Tomas Tatar, Anthony Mantha
Opponent - CBJ
Proj Pts FD - 14.44 DK - 4.66
If you are looking for volume and possible low ownership for tournaments tonight don't overlook Kucherov. Just like last season, he has carried the team with Steven Stamkos on the shelf. He has recorded 11 points over his last 10 games with 28 shots on goal. All of this production without a powerplay point so expect there to be even more upside coming. I feel he will be low owned due to the matchup vs. the Blue Jackets who rank sixth in defense this season and sit with a very nice 7-3-1 record a ton of people will flock to Pavelski tonight who enters a great matchup.
Stack with: Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat
Opponent - FLA
Proj Pts FD - 15.18 DK - 4.86
Panarin has been extremely consistent through a quarter of the season with 21 points in 23 games while averaging right around three shots on goal. On the upside he and Artem Anisimov were re united with Patrick Kane on the top line and coming as no surprise Panarin has recorded points in all three games since. The Panthers defense(14th) is not what it was last year and they have been very vulnerable on the powerplay(21st) as well. He is safe in all formats.
Stack with: Patrick Kane, Artem Anisimov
Opponent - COL
Proj Pts FD - 11.49 DK - 3.35
From a PTS/$ perspective, Arvidsson ranks right near the top tonight. He has seen inconsistent ice time throughout the season but is coming off a 19+ minute game vs. the Jets. He has also seen a lot of time on the first line and powerplay unit and has recorded seven points over his last 10 games. While the inconsistent minutes suggests a GPP only play, I think he can be considered in all formats as he is averaging 3.5 shots on goal per game.
Stack with: Filip Forsberg, Ryan Johansen
Opponent - ARI
Proj Pts FD - 17.47 DK - 6.2
His salary is once again peaking on both sites which could force a bit lower ownership for tournaments tonight. Either way he is going to be an elite play in a home matchup vs. the Coyotes who rank 27th in defense and 19th on the penalty kill. The Sharks are projected for the most goals tonight so getting their point leader in your lineup is a good idea. One of the nice things about paying up for Burns is that if he fails to record a point he doesn't kill your lineup as he is averaging around two blocks and over four shots on goal per game.

You are going to probably get sick of hearing us pump the tires on Provorov this season. Until his price starts to come up you will continue to see his name in the articles. Look past his nine points in 23 games this season which seems low but he has stated that early in his NHL career he wants to become a complete player. This will affect the offense in the short term but don't worry. He was the CHL Defenseman of the Year leading the Brandon Wheat Kings to the Memorial Cup while recording 73 points in 61 games. He has now taken the jump right to the NHL and a Top 5 offense in the Flyers. While he continues to grow he is providing a stable floor for fantasy for the price with shots and blocks.
