Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
Horford is back on the injury report, which he has been on all season. Kelly Olynyk will likely start and get a bunch of minutes. Amir Johnson and Tyler Zeller may also pick up a few more minutes, but I will not have any exposure to them. If Whiteside is out, I will have some exposure to Olynyk, but he is still a tournament only play for me.
The Heat are all banged up tonight. This could go a ton of different ways, so keep your eye on twitter as lineup lock approaches. Josh Richardson is going to be my favorite play on the Heat, and he will be in all my lineups. Dragic is also questionable, but if he plays, he is a great play as well. Rodney McGruder could also get some minutes.
Randolph has missed the last 2 games, and JaMychal Green has taken advantage. He has been extremely consistent as of late and is a great play here against Hornets. The Hornets have a weak interior, and Green should be able to at least get a double double. He is cheap and pretty safe across the board.
Frank Kaminsky and Cody Zeller will get a bunch of minutes, and are interesting plays against the Grizzlies. While the Grizzlies are a great defense, the big men will be forced to play big minutes and that should equal a healthy amount of production.
The Heat are in shambles tonight. If Whiteside does miss, Willie Reed and Josh McRoberts would jump to the top of my list. They are both pretty productive, and are extremely cheap. The Celtics are a horrible rebounding tea and without Horford, the Heat big men should have some big games.
Draymond says he will play tonight, so this is pretty useless. Even if he does miss, I think the minutes will be spread between Looney and McAdoo. Both of them are decent tournament plays, but I personally have no interest.
Dragic is the only hope the heat have fro tonight. If he can't suit up, someone is ging to have to play 48 minutes. They will only have 7 or 8 guys on the team, and one of them will be Udonis Haslem. Tonight could get ugly, but these guys will get minutes and that means fantasy points.
Wall was talked about in the main picks article, and most of the main points were covered. the Kings play at a very fast pace, and Wall has no problem running up and down the court all game. He could have a huge game here, but is also very safe and don't see him going under 50 points. Darren Collison will be his main defender, and the Kings were ranked 29 in the league last season against PG's. This is a spectacular match up for Wall and he can be considered in all formats.
With Marvin Williams out, you can just plug in Frank the tank. He has been over 20 in every game recently, and is just a very safe cash game play. He also has some good upside, as he has shown in the past. The Grizzlies are a very big team, so the Hornets will need him out there to match up. Kaminsky will be a mainstay in all of my lineups.
