What We Know
D'Angelo Russell is out
With Russell out and Nick Young questionable, we could see some big minutes for Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson. Calderon will also get some minutes, but he feels like a trap. Williams and Clarkson are both fantastic plays in cash games and tournaments.
Justise Winslow remains out
The Heat are a team that has been extremely riddled with injuries this year, and Winslow is just another extension to that. His wrist is more serious than they thought, and he will miss another game. James Johnson and Josh Richardson will pick up some minutes, and both are decent plays. I do prefer Richardson, as his minutes are much safer.
Danilo Gallinari is out
With Gallinari out last game, we saw Jamal Murray play 35 minutes. I would expect another healthy amount of minutes tonight from Murray and he is a good play in all formats. The Thunder are a fast paced team, so there should be plenty of possessions and peripherals to benefit from. Wilson Chandler is also a great play and I will have a ton of him in tournaments.
What We're Waiting to Know
Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters are questionable against the Grizzlies
Like I said, the Heat have a lot of injuries. If both of these guys do miss, Richardson and Tyler Johnson would be almost must plays. In theory, they could get over 35 minutes each and Rodney McGruder will also get around 25-30. While Memphis is a low team, they all make sense at there prices.
Julius Randle is questionable with a hip injury
Julius Randle missed last game, and it resulted in Brandon Ingram picking up 34 minutes. I expect Larry Nance to pick up some more minutes as well if Randle misses the game. Against the Warriors, I am willing to play them in all formats.
Deron Williams is questionable to play, but leaning toward being available
Williams has been out for a while, so this will shake things up a bit. Seth Curry will lose a few minutes, and Wesley Matthews will as well. I will not consider Deron Williams until I see a big game, and I expect him to be on some kind of minutes restriction.
Nick Young is doubtful with a sprained toe
Nick Young has been downgraded to doubtful, so this is definitely interesting. I will have a ton of exposure to Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson. Both of those guys are going to be forced to play upwards of 37 minutes and could play more than that if the game stays close.
The "Every Lineup" Guys
Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler has been a different player this year, and I expect it to continue. He is the focal point of the offense and will shoot as many times as he wants each game. The 76ers have nobody to match up with him, and he will be able to get to the rim with ease. Embiid is definitely a presence down low, but he will only be there for half the game and Butler is just fine taking the mid range jumper. His price is definitely up this year, but you are not paying for the same Jimmy Butler as last year.
Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook, is expensive, but he just keeps throwing 60s out there like n big deal. He plays Denver tonight and it is another spot where he can have a big game. The Nuggets have ran a lot this year, which has resulted in them having a top 10 PACE. Westbrook should get plenty of peripherals here and the points will be no trouble against Mudiay and Jameer Nelson defense.
