Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
With Paul George questionable, there could be some big minutes up for grabs. If George misses as well, I like Glenn Robinson to get a ton of minutes and jeff Teague will also get a huge bump in usage.
Russell is a huge part of this offense, and he opens up a bunch of opportunity. Jose Calderon, Lou Williams, Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson are all in play tonight against the Warriors. This game has a huge over under and there will be plenty of shots to go around, especially if Randle is out as well.
T.J. Warren has played a bunch of minutes for the Suns this year, and his absence will open up minutes for P.J. Tucker. Aside from Tucker, Devin Booker and Leandro Barbosa may also pick up a few minutes. The Magic are a bad defense and I don't mind targeting this spot for value.
This wrist injury looks pretty bad, and Winslow is going to miss another game. Josh Richardson and James Johnson will pick up minutes, and both make goodplays against a Pistons team that gives up open 3's.
Alex Len is going to be the main beneficiary here. Alan Williams may also get some minutes, but I couldn't play him outside of a long shot tournament. P.J. Tucker may also get some extra minutes as well.
Kyle Korver may not be very good, but he does take up a lot of minutes. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kent Bazemore are going to get a bunch of minutes, and they are both great plays.
If George misses, you can look at Robinson, Teague, Thad Young and maybe Ellis or Turner. If George is active, I will avoid this offense, but may still get a little exposure in tournaments.
With D'Angelo Russell already out, there could be a ton of opprtunity available here against the Warriors. If Randle is out,Larry Nance and Tarik Black are going to pick up a bunch of minutes. Nance would be my favorite play and would be viable in all formats.
George Hill has been gone for a while now, and he could return tonight. If he does return, all interest would be gone with Shelvin Mack and Dante Exum.
Cody Zeller has missed the last 2 games, and Frank Kamisnky has been the guy who has benefited the most. If Zeller is out again, Kaminsky would be in play once again.
The Warriors - Lakers game could definitely get out of hand, but it could also stay close and in that case, there will be tons of fantasy points up for grabs. Durant is a safe play either way though, as he is the main scorer in the highest projected team total of the night. The Lakers have absolutely nobody that can stay with Durant, and he will score at will. If this game stays close, KD has almost as much upside as Westbrook.
Since the start of the season, the Portland Trai Blazers have ranked dead last against the PF position. Love will have an easy way to the rim and should be able to find plenty of open shots as well. In November, Love only missed value once and still came close with a 28. In an up and down game, Love can be played in csh games and tournaments.
