GOALIES
Devan Dubnyk FD - $9200 DK - $8200
Opponent - COL
Proj Pts FD - 12.96 DK - 3.24
He may not have the record to show for it(7-5-1) but he has been an elite fantasy option through a quarter of the season. He leads the league with a .952 save % and has the leagues #1 defense in front of him allowing just 1.8 goals per game. Dubnyk has a very high floor as he faces 30+ shots per 60 minutes and has very high upside as well as he leads the league with four shutouts. He now gets a very favorable matchup vs. the Avalanche who are struggling to score goals this season.
Craig Anderson FD - $9100 DK - $7700
Opponent - FLA
Proj Pts FD - 13.77 DK - 3.44
Anderson will return to the net on Saturday night and look to build off his last few starts. He has been tremendous with a 2-0-1 record and .956 save percentage against the Flyers, Kings and Wild. He gets a favorable matchup tonight against the Panthers who have struggled on the road this year with a 2-5-1 record and sit middle of the pack scoring 2.7 goals per game. Anderson has faced 32+ shots per 60 minutes this season which gives him a high floor for cash games and upside for tournaments.
Also Consider: Tuukka Rask (BOS)
CENTERS
Connor McDavid FD - $7600 DK - $8100
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 17.75 DK - 5.62
The price has come down on McDavid making it a great time to jump back on board. The price decrease is in large part to his last couple games where he has not recorded a point and has been rolling with a -4 rating. The good news is he is starting to get more shots on net which is raising the level of his floor. He has recorded three or more shots in six of his last 10 games and has brought his shot attempts per 60 average up to 13.0 for the season. He gets a nice matchup tonight vs. the Stars who have been struggling defensively allowing 3.3 goals per game(ranked 27th).
Stack With: Jordan Eberle, Milan Lucic
Logan Couture FD - $6400 DK - $5800
Opponent - ARI
Proj Pts FD - 14.82 DK - 5.13
From a PTS/$ perspective Couture ranks among the top plays tonight on both sites. The offensive upside hasn't completely came through yet but it is getting close. Couture is taking a large amount of shots(17.9 shot att/60) which is resulting in a very high floor. It is only a matter of time before the Sharks offense kicks it into gear and starts producing. He is showing signs of breaking out and is coming off a goal against the Blues in a losing effort. He gets a great matchup tonight vs. the Coyotes who rank 29th in defense, allowing 3.4 goals per game.
PP Stack with: Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns
Nicolas Petan FD - $3800 DK - $3400
Opponent - BOS
Proj Pts FD - 6.99 DK - N/A
If it's value you are looking for Petan has been more than just a salary relief option since being recalled by the Jets. He has been playing around 17 minutes per game and has already recorded six points in just eight games. He is benefiting form playing on the second line with Blake Wheeler and is also getting some powerplay time. As long as he keeps his top six role and a price under $4K he is as close to a must play at the position as there is.
Stack with: Blake Wheeler, Marko Dano
WINGERS
Jamie Benn FD - $8100 DK - $7000
Opponent - EDM
Proj Pts FD - 16.53 DK - 5.24
He is a GPP play on FanDuel where his price has exceeded $8K but is a safe pick in any format on DraftKings. While he has been held pointless in the last two games, Benn has recorded 10 points over his last 10 games bringing his total to 14 for the season. The Stars offense has struggled this season and they have been tweaking lines all year. It appears the old crew is back together as Benn was skating with Seguin and Sharp during yesterday's practice. Benn's above average shot att/60 rate(14.4) gives him a nice floor.
Stack with: Tyler Seguin, Patrick Sharp
Max Pacioretty FD - $6800 DK - $6600
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 13.83 DK - 4.42
The Habs moved lines around in late October/early November moving Pacioretty off the top line and down with Danault and Shaw. The production was not there off the start, however Pacioretty is now heating up with points in three of his last five games including two multi point efforts. He has provided a stable floor averaging around 2.5 shots on goal per game and continues to play 2+ minutes a game on the powerplay. He will get a boost tonight facing the Leafs and their 28th ranked defense that is allowing 3.4 goals per game.
Stack with: Andrew Shaw, Phillip Danault
DEFENSEMEN
Brent Burns FD - $8200 DK - $8300
Opponent - ARI
Proj Pts FD - 17.47 DK - 6.2
While he does provide a high floor with shots and blocks I would only recommend him in GPP tonight as the offensive upside has been lacking. He has gone three straight games with out a point and only recorded six total shots in those games. He has even seen his salary go up in this time which is most likely due to the elite matchup tonight. The Sharks will face one of the worst defensive teams in the league in the Coyotes who rank 29th, allowing 3.4 goals per game.
Alexander Edler FD - $4600 DK - $4200
Opponent - CHI
Proj Pts FD - 9.27 DK - 2.97
On the flip side of things I would not recommend using Edler in GPP's with limited offensive upside but have no problem using him in cash games. His price is very low on both sites providing some nice salary relief if you are paying up for goalie. He also provides a stable floor as the league leader in blocks per game.
Also Consider: Alex Pietrangelo(STL)

Hi Chris! What is the preferred way to construct a NHL gpp lineup? NHL is my favorite sport but for some reason it is my worst for dfs. Go Blackhawks!
