"Chalk Plays"

David Johnson(ARI) vs. SF

The question of the week is: Do I play or David or fade him? And the answer is real simple: you play him!

I don't care if he's 99% owned. You have to play him. Not only does he has one of the highest floors amongst running backs, but he's also in a beautiful spot. He'll be going up against a 49ers' squad that has allowed an average of 193 rushing yards per game (32nd in NHL). While there are a lot of solid options at the position, in cash games I believe he is a must play.

Melvin Gordon (SD) vs. MIA

The other running back that I see being in quite a bit of lineups is Melvin Gordon. His matchup isn't as appealing as Johnson's, but he's been producing at a very high level. He has rushed for at least 110 rushing yards in his last two contests and has been using his hands quite a bit. He has one receiving touchdown, to go along with 20 receptions in his last three contests. This man does it all and is a very solid play this week.
