Hello everyone and welcome to a nice Sunday edition of our NHL picks. Today we have a nice comfortable 6 game slate with a few teams projected to score quite a few goals, and also a couple of teams projected to crush their opponent. Of the 12 teams we have 9 of them on back to back games and 7 of them are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights, so it should make for some entertaining games today. Let's get to the picks shall we?

I didn't have to look for very long today to realize that Gibson is the main man between the pipes in this medium sized 6 game Sunday slate. The Flames are playing their 3rd road in game in 4 nights after they got shutout late last night in Los Angeles. Calgary sits 18th in the league with 2.62 goals scored per game, and the Ducks are deadly on home ice and are coming off of a 5-1 victory over the Coyotes on Friday evening and as of this morning they are a -200 favourite to defeat the Flames. Gibson hasn't been the most consistent goalie to start the year, but he stopped 21 of 22 shots as his team cruised to an easy victory to give him 5 wins and a shutout so far and he has now allowed 2 goals or fewer in 7 of his last 9 games. The Flames lack overall scoring punch and they are going to want to get this road trip over with. Gibson will likely be the chalk play this evening, which makes him an excellent cash game play.

The man they call the King will be between the pipes today as the Rangers entertain the Winnipeg Jets who like the Flames are playing their 3rd road game in 4 nights. It's actually kind of interesting today as Lundqvist should be fairly low owned because of Gibson stealing a lot of attention today, and the Jets are coming off of a 5 goal performance against Detroit on Friday. This is great news considering as of now the Rangers are -205 favourites, and they are coming off of a 5-2 victory last night in Boston with their backup Raanta stealing the show. King Henrik has 6 wins and 3 losses and a shutout this year with a save % of 9.13. He is one of the best goalies in the league still at his age, but with Jets able to score goals in bunches at any time, I will be hesitant to use him in cash games today, but with his massive upside potential and paired with the probability of him being low owned today, makes him an awesome gpp play.

Today is a great day for value at the center position. First up we have Stepan who happens to play on the first line for the most potent offence in the league at this time. New York average a league best 4.17 goals per game and at this low price, Stepan makes a good play against a Jets squad who ranks 7th worst in the NHL with 3.00 goals allowed per game. He scored his first goal yesterday to give him a goal and 9 assists this year so far to go along with 24 shots on goal and 9 blocked shots. He can be inconsistent at times so you may be more comfortable stacking him with his line-mates in gpp's, which is an awesome idea.

And then there is this guy who is also ridiculously cheap considering he plays on the #2 line and #1 powerplay for arguably the best team in the entire league. He already has 7 goals and 8 assists, yes you read that correctly, 15 points and 21 shots on goal. His floor is very high and against a Dallas squad who gives up the 6th worst amount of goals per game with 3.09, he carries monster upside potential as well. Lock him into everyone of your lineups and feel darn good about it.

The system has a crush on Corey Perry and I can see why. He is one of the best players in the league, and without his bro Ryan Getzlaf at the moment, the Ducks need him to carry the team on his back and he is trying his very best in doing so, as he has 4 assists in his last 3 games to give him 4 goals and 6 assists this season with a whopping 36 shots on goal. Him and his team should feast on the Flames tonight who allow 3.54 goals per game which is 3rd worst in the NHL. Start Perry with confidence in all formats today.

I'm telling you right now folks that this is not the same Carolina team of the past. And Jeff Skinner is finally living up to his potential as he has been playing like a man possessed so far this season. He plays on the top line and top power play units for the Hurricanes and had 6 goals and 6 assists through only 9 games to go along with 35 shots on goal. He may be my favourite all around play today and I'll tell you why. Normally I try and avoid playing guys when they face the Devils because of Corey Schneider, but today it will be Keith Kinkaid between the pipes, and he is not even close to being in Schneider's league. Lock and load Skinner everywhere today.
Stack with: Lee Stempniak, Victor Rask

This Russian phenom is one of the most exciting player to watch and I'm pretty sure that he scores goals in his sleep. Today he gets to pick on the Colorado Avalanche who are not a good hockey team. As of now they are 12th worst in the league in goals allowed per game with 2.80, and 16th with 30 shots allowed per game. Tarasenko is matchup proof anyways, and whenever St. Louis scores a goal, he is usually a part of it. Vladimir scored the OT winner yesterday to give him 5 goals and 5 assists for the year so far, but listen to this next part. 55 shots on goal he has taken already through 12 games. Wowzers!! That's all we need to know. You probably shouldn't fade him today.

I love it when we can comfortably roster a couple of cheaper high quality D Men, and then pay up at other positions. I can honestly say that I have never had this guy on a single fantasy roster, but that ends here. I am not ignoring him any longer. He already has 2 goals and 7 asissts and he QB's the #1 powerplay in New Jersey, and the Devils are better with Taylor Hall in town. His opponent the Carolina Hurricanes are a better offensive team but they still give up a lot of goals as evident by them being 4th worst in the league in goals allowed with 3.40. Strongly consider him today.

I'm pretty sure that Cam has been in almost every one of my articles so far this season and he is going to remain in them until he stops producing or his price sky rockets. Calgary is bad in almost every area which we all know, and Fowler plays on the #1 PP and averages 23 minutes of ice time per game. He has 4 goals 4 assists, 26 shots on goal and 16 blocked shots. I just can't see not playing him at this super low price.
