Starting us off at point guard, we are going to take some savings and look at Ty Lawson. Lawson has manned the majority of the PG minutes for the Kings, and has done a good job. While he hasn't had a huge game, he has been consistent and it looks like his minutes are safe until Darren Collison returns. This match up with the Timberwolves is a great one, as they play very fast and give up a ton of peripheral stats. Lawson is a viable play in all formats, though I think I prefer him in cash. We have not seen the immense upside, though it could surface at any time.

Around the same price, we have Elfrid Payton. While Payton doesn't have a lethal shot, he is very good at getting to the rim and has upside due to his skill of spreading out the box score. He can pass well, rebound and isn't scared to stick his hands in on defense. Kyrie Irving is a pathetic defender, which should allow Payton to penetrate and put himself in FP scoring situations. The Cavs are a good defense, but there biggest weak spot is at the PG position. Elfrid Payton is going to have a solid season and it is a good idea to get exposure while his price is still way too low. He is a good play in all formats, though I do prefer him in tournaments.

We are going to look at 2 guys here that are laying each other in C.J. McCollum and Will Barton. This game has a 211 over/under, and is projected to be a close game as the Blazers are favored by 2. Looking at McCollum first, he is a huge part of the offense. Outside of Lillard, McCollum is the go to guy and he has as much potential as anyone if his shot is falling. Will Barton is a poor defender, and doesn't really try most of the time. This game should be very fast paced, and I expect there to be plenty of shots for both of them to capitalize against a bad defensive back court. McCollum is a lot safer than Barton and I would prefer him in cash games.

If you do want to pay down a bit and get similar upside, you have Will Barton. While the Nuggets aren't nearly the backcourt juggernaut that the bLazers are, they still have some weapons. Will Barton is the number 1 scoring threat and will get a ton of touches if his shot is falling. This is a great team for it to do so as they gave p the 4th most points to shooting guards last season. Will the Thrill Barton is cheap across the industry and makes for a great play in tournaments. In cash games, I am a little hesistant as I think there are some safer options.

LeBron James, consistency. One in the same. When you roster LeBron, you know what you're getting. He is going to go out there for 35 minutes, put up a bunch of shots and walk away with around 50-60 fantasy points. Day in and day out. However, this might be one of those games where he goes a little extra. The Magic have nobody that can stop him and will do there best to slow him down with Evan Fournier and Jeff Green. Those are 2 huge mismatches and James will likely take absolute advantage of them. While he does coast on occasion, it is early in the season and I don't think we have to worry about that just yet. He is the top play at the position and is viable across the board.

If you are looking to pay down a bit for a guy that may put up similar numbers this year, you have Kawhi Leonard. Pop has made it clear, this is his team. Kawhi Leonard is the face of the franchise and he has been allowed to do whatever he wants n the court. He is running the offense and will shoot whenever he feels like it. This is something we love to see in fantasy, as it brings a whole different level of upside that he hasn't had in the past. This match up with the Pelicans is a tremendous one, as they ranked 29th against small forwards last year and have a horrible defense as a whole. Dante Cunningham and Lance Stephenson will try to shut him down, but likely to no avail.

Sure, I could throw Anthony Davis here. He has insane upside and will probably walk away with 50, but there is also a lot of risk there tonight. Coming off a very fast game with the Warriors, I could see him getting a few less minutes tonight and taking a bit easy. He has an injury past and i'm sure the Pelicans want to be a little careful with there franchise player. Onto Aldridge, who is in a fantastic position against said Anthony Davis. I expect Davis to cover Gasol, which will put guys like Omer Asik and Dante Cunningham on Aldridge. However, I do see a scenario where AD is covering him. That being said, I still think Aldridge can produce, even when being covered by Anthony Davis. The Pelicans defense as a whole is atrocious, so there will be plenty of peripherals up for grabs in this one.

Against the Grizzlies, Gogui Dieng put up a double double and had 37 fantasy points. While that is hard to expect again, I think he comes out with a solid performance here. The Kings are a dumpster fire against the PF position as evident by there leauge worst points against last season. Though Cousins is a solid defender,he will be occupied with Towns and Cauley-Stein is a poor defender. Dieng has a ton of upside in this match up, though I think he is safe as well. If you want, I think he can be played in all formats. When you combine the match up and over/under, you have to bite.

Starting us off at center, we have Jusuf Nurkic. If the Nuggets had a decent coach, this guy would see 35 minutes a game and be a top 5 center. However, we have Michael Malone. He has unpredictable rotations and has a tendency to bench people for no reason. With all of that being said, I am going to recommend Jusuf Nurkic He is an absolute animal in the pain and is taking on a Blazers team that has no power down low. He should be able to bully around Plumlee and be on his way to an easy double double. We touched on a few guys in this game earlier, and I love the game stack. THis is the type of game that wins you a tournament by going to double overtime.

Turner has came out of the gates with a 31 and a 60. the 31 will end up being closer to his league average, but we will see some more of those monster games. We saw a few last year and that is just the type of player he is. He occasionally gets hot and can't miss, which results in him staying on the court and racking up other stats. That is a certain possibility against a Bulls team that offers the likes of Taj Gibson and RObin Lopez down low. Turner has crazy upside, and is actually pretty safe for his price across the industry.
