What We Know

Dwyane Wade is on a 32 minute cap

While 32 minutes is not a short time on the court, it definitely limits his upside. At his price, you are looking for a guy that will play 35-37 minutes and has the overtime upside. Because of that, I will be avoiding Wade in my cash games and tournaments.

LaMarcus Aldridge is still the man

With Pau Gasol going to the Spurs, we were not too sure on how the usage would split up down low. Though it has only been 1 game, it looks like Aldridge is the go to guy down low. i could see Gasol getting light minutes throughout the year and being ready to go in the playoffs, like he has done with Duncan for the past 5 seasons. For the time being, Aldridge and Leonard are the go to guys for the Spurs.

Other minutes notes

From the teams we have seen play the last 2 nights, we have already learned a lot. It looks like the Hawks are ready to deploy Howard for big minutes, which will equate in a lot of big performances. As for the Celtics, they look to be running a very similar style to last year with Thomas and Bradley starting, and a 3rd guard getting around 30 minutes as well. Until Marcus Smart is healthy, that will be Terry Rozier.

The "Every Lineup" Guys

DeAndre Jordan

The Portland Trail Blazers interior is one that we will be taking advantage of all season. They lack rebounders and don't have the bulk to stop anyone from scoring. Rudy Gobert took advantage on opening night and Jordan will have his chance tonight. Jordan has shown rediculous upside in the past with 20/20 games and has almost approached 30 rebounds in a single game before. While there are some decent guys to look for at center, Jordan is far and away my favorite.

Kawhi Leonard

There is not too many guys that I am an love with tonight. Every guy has a few holes, including these 2. The Spurs could definitely blowout the Kings, and that would likely result in Leonard losing minutes. However, I expect Cousins to put up a fight and the Spurs will have to match them. If that is the case, Leonard is going to have a great game. It will be a fast paced game with a ton of scoring and plenty of peripherals to go around. This his team and he will have a huge season.
