Pitching Targets

Jerad Eickhoff FD 8000 DK 7500
Opponent - PIT (Kuhl) Park - @PHI
FD - 27.94 DK - 17.48

If you read the main picks article, you know that the pitcher position is pretty awful. That is why we are left with Jerad Eickhoff and J.A. Happ, 2 guys that are difficult to trust. We are going to take a look at Jerad Eickhoff, a right handed youngster that has sported a .280 wOBA that is backed up by tremendous peripherals and batted ball rates. He is taking on a Pittsburgh Pirates team that has been very average against right handers. In nearly 4500 at-bats, the Pirates have sported a .312 wOBA that is supported by a 21.5% strikeout rate. While Eickhoff doesn't have a ton of upside, he is pretty safe and I think he should be a bit under owned. I do not mind him in tournaments because I expect the Phillies to put up some runs, which gives him an extra bonus on a site like FanDuel. Eickhoff is much cheaper on DraftKings, so I like him on both sites as they have pros and cons either way.

J.A. Happ FD 8800 DK 8300
Opponent - LAA (Wright) Park - @LAA
FD - 31.72 DK - 20.82

I took some heat for picking on J.A. Happ in the main picks article, but come on, let's be real. Happ is on the downside of his career and has gotten very lucky over the past 2 years or so. That being said, he finds a way to get things done and we have to consider him tonight, just because the pitcher position is so bad. He is also taking on a Los Angeles Angels team that is absolutely atrocious. While Trout and Pujols re very good hitters, the rest of the lineup strikes out a ton and doesn't offer much upside. The game will take place in Angels Stadium, which is a top 5 ballpark in the league for pitchers. I do prefer him on DraftKings as he is a bit cheaper.
