Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 8/29/16

Welcome to our daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article and pitching breakdown but here we will look at other dudes to consider.

In case you didn’t notice, on Saturday we released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and Player Lab which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s a robust set of tools; well beyond anything we’ve ever had and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

Using tools like these for the NFL season is crucial and you can grab a free 2 WEEK trial to test out yourself.

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!

Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Wade Miley (BAL)

The Blue Jays have just been killin' it as of late! They own a .227 ISO (2nd in MLB) and a .364 wOBA (1st in MLB) in their last 14 contests. They are crushing the baseball and making pitchers look like little leaguers out there, so why wouldn't you stack this offense? When they are hot, they are hard to stop!

Not only has the baseball looked like a watermelon for this Jays' squad, but they also draw a beautiful matchup against southpaw, Wade Miley. This season, Miley is sporting a 5.51 ERA along with a 1.43 WHIP. He has struggled mightily this season and I expect him to have another rough outing against [Dong]aldson and company.

My top 4 guys to stack: My top 4 guys to stack: Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson and Melvin Upton.

Cleveland Indians vs. Hector Santiago(MIN)

This Indians' offense has cooled down quite a bit, but I'm still looking to stack them tonight. Their prices have dropped and they draw a beautiful matchup against, Hector Santiago. On the year, Santiago has struggled quite a bit. He's boasting a 5.25 xFIP, 1.40 WHIP and 36.2% hard contact rate. He puts a ton of runners on and gets hit hard, so I'm expecting this offense that has been as cold as my fridge, to wake up tonight. They could be a sneaky-stack tonight.

My top 4 guys to stack: Jose Ramirez, Carlos Santana, Brandon Guyer and Francisco Lindor.

Washington Nationals vs. Jake Thompson (PHI)

One offense that isn't as sneaky and I expect big things from are the Nationals. They will be going up against a rookie, who has struggled mightily. He owns a 9.78 ERA in 19 innings of work and a 40% hard contact rate. He's been hit extremely hard and has not had it go his way, so I'm expecting the Nats' to put on a show today. Sure, you can argue that Thompson's sample size is too small, but the Nats' have been hot (.347 wOBA last 14) and it's kind of hard not to go against a guy who has given up a hard contact rate of 40%.

My top 4 guys to stack: Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Jason Werth and Daniel Murphy.
