Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 8/28/16

Welcome to our daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article and pitching breakdown but here we will look at other dudes to consider.

In case you didn’t notice, on Saturday we released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and Player Lab which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s a robust set of tools; well beyond anything we’ve ever had and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

Using tools like these for the NFL season is crucial and you can grab a free 2 WEEK trial to test out yourself.

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!

Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Kyle Gibson (TOR)

There are quite a few stacking options I love on this Sunday-Funday edition of the stacks article. But the first team on my list are the Toronto Blue Jays; and with good reason.

Lets start off with the Blue Jays. They have been crushing the baseball and scoring runs left-to-right, so why wouldn't stack them? They own a .213 ISO (3rd in MLB) to go along with a .351 wOBA (4th in MLB), in their last 14 contests. This offense is going to cost you a pretty penny, but they have major upside and a beautiful matchup against, Kyle Gibson.

Things haven't gone Gibson's way this season. He's boasting an ERA over five and opponents own a .291 AVG against him. He gives up quite a few hits, which will hurt him against this powerful offense that is currently on a roll. You have to love the matchup for the Jays against the righty and his 1.52 WHIP.

My top 4 guys to stack: My top 4 guys to stack: Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson and Melvin Upton.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Archie Bradley(ARI)

The Reds continue the hot-streak by putting up 13 runs on the board. They are on an absolute tear, so I'll go ahead and stack them again today.

Not only are they hot, but they will also be going up against, Archie Bradley. Bradley is another guy who has struggled for the D'backs this year. He is sporting an 11.3 BB% along with a 5.06 ERA. You probably guessed it, but the reason why his ERA is so inflated is because of his control issues. Walking over 10% of the batters you face is not a good sign. He gives up way too many free passes and I expect the Reds to take advantage of the D'backs again today. Don't be surprised if they put on quite a show again today.

My top 4 guys to stack: Jose Peraza, Joey Votto, Adam Duvall and Eugenio Suarez.

San Fransico Giants vs. Aaron Blair (ATL)

Speaking of guys with control issues -- here's another one; but worst. I present to you -- Aaron Blair.

The rook has been in a lot of trouble so far in the show. Not only does he own a 12.2 BB%, but his xFIP is also all the way at 6.11. It's safe to say the big leagues haven't been very kind to Blair, which is why I'll be stacking them against him. He's had a ton of control issues and opponents own a .293 AVG against him. What more could you ask for? He's the reason why I'll be stacking the Giants tonight. They could end up being a sneaky stack

My top 4 guys to stack: Denard Span, Buster Posey, Joe Panik and Angel Pagan.
