Some people will shy away from the Kluber-Nator against the Blue Jays, but not me. I believe this is an excellent tournament play and he easily has the highest ceiling on the night. Some of you already think I'm crazy, so let me explain why I'll be targeting Corey Kluber this afternoon:
To start off, Corey Kluber is one of the top starters in the game today. He owns a 3.40 xFIP to go along with a 1.02 WHIP and 25.3 K%. His numbers are a thing of beauty, and you have to love the fact that fans 25% of the batters he faces. That just yells upside to me, especially against this Jays' squad.
While the Blue Jays have some of the best power hitters in the game, they do strikeout out a ton. They are coming into today's with a 23.1 K% (5th in MLB) against right-handed pitchers. Not only does Kluber have that to his advantage, but the Jays' offense has also been cold as of late.. In their last 30 contests, they are boasting a .308 wOBA (24th in MLB) along with a whooping 26.3 K% (highest in MLB). It's never easy pick a pitcher to go against this powerful Jays' lineup, but they are fanning left-and-right and will be going up against one of the most dominant pitchers in the game today. Just do it!

If you guys have been following my work, you know I have a strange obsession with Jose Quintana. And guess what -- he's on today's main slate! Not only will be I be on Quintana today because I like him a ton, but he also has a beautiful matchup.
For rookies, these are the reasons why I love Quintana:
1. He's the most underrated pitcher in the game today.
2. He's usually low owned, and comes through for us.
3. And he's got great numbers: (2.85 ERA and 1.11 WHIP this season)
That's not the only reason why I'll be choosing him today. I also love his matchup going up against the struggling A's. In their last 30 contests, they are sporting a .298 wOBA, along with a 87 wRC+ (Both 26th in MLB). I know the A's strikeout under 20% on the year, but this is a beautiful matchup and Jose has Vegas on his side, as the money-line is on his side at -163.

Warning: GPP play only.
It was tough looking for a 3rd option, but Drew Smyly is my best bet. He will be pitching at home against a Rangers' offense that takes a ballpark hit, as Tropicana is a park that is friendly to pitchers. The other reason why I'll go ahead and roster a few lineups with Smyly, is because the way he's been pitching as of late. In his last 5 outings, the southpaw is sporting a 0.93, 2.25 ERA and 6.5 BB%. He's had more control in his pitches, as he's finally been able to keep the walks in check, so I wouldn't be all that surprised if he delivers another quality today.
