Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Cleveland Indians vs. Jered Weaver (LAA)

Is this Indians' offense ever going to slow down? They just keep scoring runs left-and-right and I see that trend continuing today. This time, they will be going up against soft tossing, Jered Weaver. Weaver was once a pitcher we all feared, but that's not the case anymore. He is coming into today's contest boasting an ERA, FIP and xFIP well over five, to go along with a 5.8 K-BB%. Things have not been going good for the veteran, and facing the hottest team since the All-Star break certainly won't help him out. I expect Cleveland to have another big day today!

My top 4 guys to stack: Jose Ramirez, Mike Napoli, Jason Kipnis and Fransico Lindor

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cody Reed (MIL)

This game has the highest O/U of the day at 9.5 (Tigers-Indians as well), so look for this game to be very high scoring. (I think it will go over 9.5 runs). We got Cody Reed on the mound today, which is why I'm all over the Brewers.

Cody Reed looked excellent in his last outing delivering six shutout innings, but I see today being different. He will be going up against the Brewers, who have hit left-handed pitchers well this season. They own a .329 wOBA (9th in MLB) to go along with a 98 wRC+ (16th in MLB). Not only does Reed draw a tough matchup going up against the Brewers, but he has also given up a hard-contact rate of 39.1%. This will not help his cause, especially pitching at hitter-friendly Miller Park.

Watch out for this contest, I don't mind going with a Reds stack either in this contest.

My top 4 guys to stack: Hernan Perez, Jonathan Villar, Ryan Braun and Orlando Arcia.

Washington Nationals vs. Tyrell Jenkins (ATL)

Tyrell Jenkins does have a 3.89 ERA, but his peripherals are [ugly]. Let's just say he owns an xFIP of 5.89 to go along with a SIERA of 6.21 and a K-BB% of -3.8%! Negative 3.8! That's not a typo. I don't expect things to be all-pretty for Jenkins and it starts today.

He will be going up against a Nationals' squad that could easily jump all over him. I know Bryce Harper has not been in the lineup, but that offense has not lost a beat. In their last 14 contests, they own a .336 wOBA (7th in MLB) and .177 ISO (6th in MLB). They have been hitting the cover out of the baseball these past two weeks, so look for these guys to have another big day today.
