Pitching Targets
*Note - I discussed Max Scherzer, Kenta Maeda and Vince Velasquez in the Main Article today and will be covering a few other viable options in this article.*
Steven Matz FD 9700 DK 8500
Opponent - COL (Chatwood) Park - @NYM
FD - 36.66 DK - 24.13
For the most part, outside of a couple bad starts, Matz has been very good this season. He is working with a 3.46 xFIP and an above average 8.50 K/9 rate. He has improved on the walk rate lowering it by about a half walk per nine and is dealing close to 6% more ground balls than his rookie campaign. He will get a favorable spot on Friday to improve on those numbers as the Rockies come to town for a weekend series in the Big Apple. While the Rockies absolutely mash at home ranking 1st in wOBA(.378), they are quite the opposite on the road ranked 29th in wOBA(.291) and wRC+(78). They also strikeout around 5% on the road as well, adding value to Matz tonight. At a price under $10K and a overall game total under 7.0, Matz makes a viable option in any format today.
Trevor Bauer FD 8500 DK 8300
Opponent - OAK (Graveman) Park - @CLE
FD - 33.26 DK - 20.34
The Indians come in as -164 home favorites tonight and get a matchup vs. the Athletics who have a team total projected below four runs. We love this when targeting out pitchers and Trevor Bauer makes a very viable option today. Bauer has been a bit better at home this year with a 3.84 xFIP and 23% K rate which is a few ticks better than his road numbers. He gets a favorable matchup vs. the Athletics who sit with the 2nd lowest run differential(-69) in the American League. They also rank 27th in wOBA(.302) and 23rd in ISO(.148) when facing right handed pitching. Bauer's strikeout upside maybe a bit limited tonight as the A's only K about 18% vs. righties but at his current price under $9K on both sites he makes a great option in all formats.
Jake Odorizzi FD 8100 DK 8200
Opponent - NYY (Nova) Park - @TB
FD - 30.6 DK - 20.23
This is more of a GPP recommendation tonight as I just can't fully trust Odorizzi yet. His xFIP of 4.23 is less than impressive and he has been very inconsistent this season. The reason I am suggesting him for GPP is the upside he has within the matchup tonight. The Yankees have a projected run total below four tonight for a few reasons. Number one they rank 23rd in wOBA vs. right handed pitching, they have been struggling over the past 14 days ranking 27th in wOBA, and looking at home/road splits they rank 27th in wOBA on the road this year. Odorizzi is coming off one of his best starts of the year going eight innings of five hit, shutout ball vs. the A's last Friday. He faced the Yankees back at the end of May and held them to one hit and one run over seven innings and I could very well see a similar line today. Odorizzi is very affordable and will allow you tons of flexibility when looking at the bats tonight.

22 so-called Expert suggested picks from this site 0n 7/28/16 and only 3 players produced mediocre fantasy points. In fact some didn’t even play. IMO they are not experts, they are just trying to get you to pay money to them. Try a more legit site for advice.
DraftKings lineups cashed easily. FanDuel bubbled. ROI for week on optimals over short term is excellent. Not sure what else looking for.
In addition the chat room is free and public until the owner Doug Norrie Ejects or bounces you from it because you do not agree with him. Legitimate sites allow difference of opinions. Just some words to the wise before you waste time and money on this low-budget site
Chatroom is free and public for sure but not held under like Constitutional law. Your brand of commenting bordered on trolling and it was simply a difference of opinion. It was just one or two word statements with little to no back up or support. That’s all. Want good discussion and we do. But discussion doesn’t involve having misinformed ideas and then spamming the chat room with them.
It’s not free and public when the admin dominates and monitors conversations. Then when admin doesn’t like what you said …….just an opinion……He Steroids out in the room and bounces whoever he likes whenever he likes. Sounds pretty controlling and Egotistical.
@ Turd maker: I’d bounce you just for your uesername – Ha! Be nice in the sandbox, sir.
Hi – change of subject – I’ve been waiting to subscribe until there is a feature to create up to at least 200 lineups and export to DK. Well, through a CSV that DFSR would create. Is this feature available yet? If so, I’m all in! I hate using Fantasy Cruncher, but using your projections without a DFSR optimizer. It’s a ton of added work changing every player. If I used DFSR, I’d adjust a lot less because I believe it’s more accurate here. Let me know, Doug!!
