Henry Burris Ottawa 10,500
Last week was a nightmare for my recommended QB pick from this same team. Life goes on right? Now Harris is hurt and now the Red-Blacks from the nation's capital have their starting QB back and he's 100% healthy. Burris is my top selection of the slate for many reasons. He has deadly weapons all over the field to throw to such as Williams, Ellingson and Sinopoli, and his team is currently favoured to win by 10 with a total of 50 points. I'm not worried about the blowout factor as I think Toronto, who's Defence is ranked around the league average, will keep the game from being completely embarrassing, which means Ottawa will be throwing the ball downfield quite often. They currently lead the CFL both in total offence with 504 points per game which is crazy good, and 389 passing yards per game. Enough said. You know what to do in all formats. Moving on.
Kevin Glenn - Montreal $7700
I'll warn you right now, this is not a safe pick. But it could be a very profitable one in larger tournaments as he should be very low owned. Yes this is the same guy I called 800 years old last week. But I watched Montreal's entire game vs Toronto, and he's throwing with good velocity and he has a decent amount of weapons to throw to. The riders have given up 322 passing yards per game which is 3rd worst in the league. I'm playing Glenn in a few tourney lineups this week.
Chris Williams - Ottawa $10,600
You're going to start to notice a trend with my picks which should be universal especially in the CFL. If I recommend a QB, then a WR will shortly follow. Williams is reunited with Ottawa's #1 QB and he's had unreal success so far this season. He had a bad week last week only because the Red-Blacks 3rd string QB was forced into the game in the 1st quarter. Williams already has 32 receptions for 570 yards and 6 TD's, with an average of 27.9 dk points per game. That's impressive considering the 2.9 dk performance he put up last week because of the circumstances I previously mentioned. The Argos are only average on Defence and he is a top play in my cash game lineups this week.
Naaman Roosevelt Saskatchewan 8800
I am going to try my best to fit both of these stud receivers into my cash game lineups this week and with good reasoning. Roosevelt is the top WR for the Rough-riders. He seems to be even more popular with backup QB Gale than he was with the injured Durant. He started the season at a fairly slow pace but he's averaged 29.7 dk points in his last two games. He will be a top play for me in all formats.
Nik Lewis Montreal 6200
This is a boring pick but one I feel is very important for safety reasons. He is going to get his catches from fellow veteran Glenn. He currently only averages 14.7 dk points but he is a near guarantee to see his share of targets every game. The sure-handed security blanket for Montreal is averaging 7 receptions per game. He's obviously a cash game pick only, because of his lack of upside, but nonetheless a guy that you will need to consider for your lineups.
Shawn Gore BC 5900
Here is a guy that will be very low owned because of Calgary's well rested and stifling Defence. He is going to be in almost every single tourney lineup I enter this week. Why? I will explain. This guy is fast and although he shares targets with a few of his Lions teammates, he can sneak behind the secondary and march in for a long TD as quick as we can blink. He has a low floor but a very high ceiling this week. He can make the difference for you in your tournament lineups. Plug him in.
Nick Grigsby Ottawa 6300
You can tell how low of a priority this position is for me in the CFL because of the fact that I moved it below the Wide Receivers this week. Grigsby is getting his fair of touches in the backfield and also catches a few passes. He has averaged 13.3 dk points per game with 1 TD , which isn't great but the Red-Blacks are 10 point favourites vs the Argonauts this week, and if they get ahead like they should, then Grigsby could easily outperform expectations. I'm comfortable with him in all formats.
Stefan Logan Montreal 4300
This is one of those picks that is simply a last resort if you need a cheap play to fill your lineups with. He's Montreal's primary punt/kick returner, so he's pretty much guaranteed to get you a few dk points per week. That's all there is to say here
Ottawa 5100
You could easily pick the Stampeders in this spot for 5200 and it wouldn't be a bad decision. But the reason I am going with Ottawa this week is because the Argos star QB Ricky Ray is out for a few weeks and the Red-Blacks are a massive favourite. This should be a one-sided game from kickoff, and Ottawa should rack up some D/St points throughout the entire game.
