Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.
Stack Targets
Colorado Rockies vs. Marco Estrada(TOR)
Looks like we got a game at Coors (yippee). And to make things better -- it's on my favorite day of the week. I gotta say, there is nothing better than a Monday slate that involves Coors Field. Alright enough with the sarcasm, let's get to business.
Coors is always in play, but if I had to pick between the Blue Jays and the Rockies; I'd go with the Rockies.
I have created a list just for you guys on why I prefer a Rockies stack:
1. The Rockies own a .347 wOBA (3rd in MLB) and .199 ISO (2nd in MLB) against right-handed pitchers. They crush righties on a day-to-day basis and we all know what happens when they're playing at home.
2. Marco Estrada is not as good as you think he is. Yeah he's got a good-looking .270 ERA, but his FIP and xFIP are over 4. He is due for regression. Plus his BABIP is at .183. He is going to hit reality very soon. By very soon, I mean tonight.
3. Marco Estrada is a fly ball pitcher (49.8 FB%) and we all know what happens when fly ball pitchers head into Coors. Bye-Bye baseball!
All in all, the Rockies crush righties and Marco Estrada isn't a good pitcher. So don't be fooled by that ERA and go ahead and stack against him!
Texas Rangers vs. Ivan Nova (NYY)
Alright if you're trying to get away from Coors Field, I like the idea of stacking the Rangers. I know they were the chalk stacks a few times last week and didn't come through for us, but remember, we can't hold grudges and need a short memory (like Dory from Finding Nemo/Dory.
The Rangers aren't a team that demolishes righties (15th in wOBA), but playing at Yankee Stadium (hitter-friendly park) and going up against Ivan Nova will certainly help. On the year, Nova owns a 5.18 ERA to go along with a 4.94 FIP. Things haven't gone his way this season, especially as of late. In his last six starts, he has allowed a total of 26 runs (4.33 runs per game). Nova has been bad this season, so go ahead and stack the Rangers. I know it's hard to get away from Coors, but this is a nice stack that will allow you to pay up for Jake Arrieta.
Tampa Bay Rays vs Eduardo Rodriguez (BOS)
I know this stack might shock you a bit, but I really have a thing for the Rays tonight.
First off, the Rays demolish southpaws. This might be a bit of a surprise to you, but on the year they own a .349 wOBA (2nd in MLB), 122 wRC+ (1st in MLB) and .196 ISO (3rd in MLB). You know how they say ball never lies when you're playing a pickup basketball game, well I like to say, "stats never lie."
The other reason why I love the Rays is because they will be going up against the streaky southpaw, Eduardo Rodriguez. He is coming into this contest sporting a ERA and xFIP well over six. He's had a rough going since returning from the DL, so go ahead and stack the Rays. Remember, you heard it here first!

What’s your thoughts about the D-Backs tonight??
Hard to predict…… Probably would grab a couple guys, but not a full on stack
