Pitching Targets
Tim Lincecum FD 7900 DK 7100
Opponent - OAK (Graveman) Park - @LAA
FD - 28.27 DK - 14.4
Honestly, I am not a huge fan of either of these guys. We mentioned a few guys in the main picks article and I definitely prefer those guys over him. The first guy we are going to look at is Tim Lincecum. Lincecum is making his 2nd start since coming back and had a good game last time out with a 6 inning, 2 strikeout performance. I look for him to have another solid performance tonight against the Angels team who has exhibited a league lower third .312 wOBA against right handers. While I look for Lincecum to be more of a cash game play, I think he is very safe and will more than likely get you the necessary points for a cash game. Also, I would look out for any news that may break on Lincecum having a pitch count. There is absolutely no reason to believe Lincecum will not be able to come out and have a serviceable start. That being said, I am a little worried as you will be if you roster him and his crazy persona.
Rick Porcello FD 9200 DK 9900
Opponent - CHW (Shields) Park - @BOS
FD - 31.44 DK - 16.67
Porcello has finally returned back to Earth and has struggled a bit recently. However, he has started the season very well and has sported a very nice 3.86 xFIP that is backed up by a 29.2% hard contact rate allowed. The White Sox on the other hand, have been far below average against right handers this season as evident by a .301 wOBA and .693 OPS. While I do prefer this game was played in a pitchers ballpark, the Red Sox will be able to put up enough runs where Porcello will more than likely get the win. While I am not too confident in Porcello in tournaments, the win probability makes him a nice play in cash games. I’m kind of liking Niese on the early slate. Am I crazy?
