Early Slate
Opponent - ARI (Corbin) Park - @ARI
FD - 40.92 DK - 22.72
The best pitcher in baseball always makes a great choice as he can dominate any team in the league with his elite arsenal. He is projected to score a ton of points tonight but faces one of his toughest matchups of the year. The D Backs rank 2nd in team wOBA(.352) and wRC+(117) vs. left handed pitching but sit middle of the pack in total runs scored(296). Vegas is telling us Kershaw is good pick today as well as the D Backs have the second lowest team total(2.96) of the early slate. To get Kershaw in your lineup you will have to sacrifice in other areas and for this reason I will only consider him in GPP formats.
Opponent - CHC (Hammel) Park - @WSH
FD - 38.11 DK - 21.24
In a matchup between two of the National League's top pitchers the run total is set at a low 7.5 runs. In a situation where two top end pitchers go head to head I will more time than not side with the home team. In this case the home team also has the better pitching option in Stephen Strasburg. He is 10-0 to start the 2016 season with a 3.03 ERA and 2.78 xFIP to back it up. He elevated his K rate(11.51 K/9) to its highest point since his rookie season back in 2010. Like Kershaw, he gets a tough matchup vs. the Cubs who rank 5th in team wOBA(.340) and 6th in wRC+(113) vs. right handed pitching but like the old saying goes "Good pitching will trump good hitting any day". Like Kershaw I won't be trusting Strasburg in cash games but will concentrate my exposure to GPP formats.
Evening Slate
Opponent - HOU (McHugh) Park - @STL
FD - 32.65 DK - 16.87
If you are looking for some value in the mid range for tournaments tonight, Wainwright is in a decent spot to rack up some fantasy points. After a disappointing start to the season he has shown some signs of life limiting opponents to two earned runs or less in each of his last two starts while recording 15 punch outs. His K rate is still south of 7 K/9 but he should get a boost tonight vs. the Astros who K 25% of the time vs. right handed pitching and rank 19th in wOBA. Wainwright has also been better at home in Busch Stadium which is one of the best pitchers parks in the league. He makes an excellent second pitcher option DraftKings or a stand alone GPP option on FanDuel.

I made a mistake and listed two early slate options. Messed up on the game time for the WSH/CHC game. I will add one more pitcher for the evening slate right away.
