(Stats talked about in the write-up are this years stats)
Opponent - COL (Bettis) Park - @COL
FD - 10.63 DK - 8.46
Starlin Castro isn't a guy you typically think of when you hear "home run" but there are a couple of things I like about the 26-year-old.
1. He is playing at Coors. We all know what happens and Coors and everyone has a chance to go yard -- so why not Castro?
2. His matchup against Chad Bettis. Bettis is one of those pitchers that has reverse splits. He's been solid against left-handed bats this season but has struggled big-time against right-handed bats. Let's just say righties own a .542 SLG and .382 wOBA.
I know Castro doesn't have elite power, or beautiful splits against right-handed pitchers, but Bettis is awful vs. righties and a trip to Coors will allow Castro to showcase his power. (He's worth the $4,400 on DraftKings).
Opponent - HOU (McHugh) Park - @STL
FD - 9.72 DK - 7.34
Brandon Moss has just been on fire! He has six dingers in his last ten contests, to go along with a .424 AVG. Not only has he been killing it, but he also draws a favorable matchup going up against right-handed pitcher Collin McHugh. McHugh has struggled against left-handed batters on the year. In 35 innings of work, he has given up seven long balls (1.80 HR/9 vs. LHB), .544 SLG and .387 wOBA. Busch Stadium sure isn't Coors Field or Yankee Stadium, but this is a beautiful matchup for red-hot Brandon Moss, which is why he is my dinger call for the late slate!
By the way -- Brandon Moss owns a .430 ISO vs. right-handed pitching this season. You can pretty much say that all the splits are in his favor.
Opponent - LAA (Santiago) Park - @LAA
FD - 8.29 DK - 6.63
Robbie Grossman vs. Hector Santiago?! Sign me up please!
Santiago has just been awful this season. He is coming into this contest sporting a 5.64 ERA to go along with a 5.50 FIP (yikes). He's been able to tame left-handed batters this season, but righties are a completely different story. They have devoured him! They own a .363 wOBA and have hit 12 home runs (2.19 HR/9). Giving up long balls will never help a pitcher out, but it sure will help Grossman out. The 26-year-old switch hitter is coming into this contest swinging a hot bat, so look for him to take advantage of the struggling southpaw.
So yeah, baseball season! And we've got some goodies you can take with you. At the end of the post, we have our MLB eBook that you really ought to check out before setting even a single daily fantasy MLB lineup. It's free, below.

Nick I got one more for you Dae-Ho Lee vs Drew Smyly this dude came over from Korea and absolutely destroys lefties he's won me a lot of money already this year most recently in his 2 homer game vs Derrick Holland and the Rangers and it seems like nobody outside Seattle has a clue who he is he only starts vs lefties and usually bats 5th what do you think?
Agree with all of this, but be careful. Slyly sports a mean change up which is what Lee ha struggled with, especially from lefties. If he is able to push the count in his favor, he could definitely have some success however.
Mike! I was stuck between lee and Grossman, but went with Grossman. Great call. I love Lee tonight.
nice I will definitely have plenty of exposure to both tonight good luck to you
you too, boss!
