Brief Summary:

Current radar this morning:

Notice all the rain in the Southeast and mid-Mississippi Valley region.

Simulated radar at 7 PM tonight:

COL at PIT the game will start dry but rain is approaching. We should be dry until about 10 PM so most of the game should be rainfree. If anything, I feel that the computer models may be too quick moving the rain in so I am not overly concerned about this game right now. VERY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD, LOW CHANCE OF A DELAY LATE IN THE GAME (AFTER 10 PM)

Simulated radar for 11 PM shown above.

As can be seen by the 2 simulated radar shown above, SEA at CIN will see rain. The key is how quickly the rain leaves the Queen City. Based on the 11 PM simulated radar, the rain is just leaving the city then. That is probably too late to try and play the game. MODERATE TO HIGH CHANCE OF PPDS OR DELAY(S)

AZ at STL will see left-over rain leaving the region around scheduled 1st pitch (please see above simulated radars). It will rain there much of the day which is always a bit worrisome but by scheduled 1st pitch I am rather confident that most of the rain has lifted off to the northeast. LOW CHANCE OF A PPD OR IN-GAME DELAY; LOW TO MODERATE CHANCE OF A LATE START TO THE GAME

Good Hitting Environments:

- A strange weather pattern continues for the 4 games in CA tonight (games in OAK, SD, LAA and SF) in that the moisture in the air will be higher than normal. Batted balls may be able to travel slightly better than normal. The wind is screaming out to right in OAK, LAA and SF.

-CLE at BOS will see one of the 1st evenings of the season with a wind blowing out towards the Green Monster.

Poor Hitting Environments:

-Normally a pitchers park anyways, PNC park in PIT will see a bit of a breeze blowing in from left.

-Relatively cool with a light breeze blowing in for KC at CHW.
