Welcome to the daily MLB updates and news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!
Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock today.
By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the batting lineup changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!
Few minor weather concerns
I will update as the day goes by if anything is confirmed.
As of now, the Mets @ Rockies and Twins @ Indians are sitting at 35% rain chance. However, Colorado has scattered showers all summer and it very rarely causes too big of a problem.
Danny Duffy is on a 50 pitch limit
Make sure you steer clear. Trust me, I know this is disappointing. I wish he was free to go 100 as he would be a great play.
Note - I will update this section throughout the day as lineups are released and injury news is broke
Opponent - CHW (Gonzalez) Park - @NYY
FD - 12.34 DK - 9.29
As mentioned in our picks article, McCann is the top overall option at catcher and is one of the better plays of the day. McCann has hit righties exceptionally well with a .377 wOBA and 3 home runs to start the year. He will be facing off with Miguel Gonzalez, a guy who has struggled mightily against lefties. In 2015, Gonzalez gave up a .372 wOBA and 5.72 xFIP to lefties. This ballpark is extremely friendly to left handed power as it ranked 4th last year for home runs. This entire Yankees lineup is in play, however, McCann is my favorite of the bunch due to positional scarcity and upside.
Opponent - BOS (O'Sullivan) Park - @BOS
FD - 11.58 DK - 9.44
As mentioned throughout today's articles, the Houston Astros are in an amazing spot to produce today with a team total of 5.60. Correa is arguably the best bat on Houston against righties with a .362 wOBA since entering the league. Sean O'Sullivan is a horrible pitcher as evidenced by his combined .392 wOBA and .610 xFIP in 2015. To add on to all of this, the wind is currently blowing out at 23 MPH in Fenway Park! Wow! This game is not one I am going to fade and I don't advise you do either. Correa is my pick of the day for a home run.
One other note: There are big differences between DraftKings and FanDuel pricing so the optimal lineups are looking quite different.
These are players that show up in each of the top 10 lineups as produced by our lineup optimizer. This doesn't necessarily mean that they're "safe," it just means that their projected weighted-mean point total is a solid building block for a great lineup foundation today.

Hey Doug Real quick.... What pitcher should I lock in for for my doubles and cash games? Im rolling with The Kevin the Gasman for touneys.
Ortiz taking another day off -- takes a lot out of him walking from the dugout to the batter's box every other day--besides he did his good deed yesterday.
Still getting oxygen for leggings out a triple
You got that exactly right.
Seriously. @#$# baseball. Granderson just took Tuesday off. Why in the hell is he not playing today?
Thinking same don't play much on FD kept trying to get lineups on that game before lock got 167 with a few jays going but having Grandy in doesn't help in gpp I'm in but the few cash I'm in should cash
